Thread: AFK Camping
What they are doing is morally wrong...stealing content from people putting the effort into it.
I suggest not only taking their spawns, but sending them an email telling them that behavior is really really really lame.

Outside of Coronet, there are sets of locations where Thugs spawn. If someone is standing there with an AFK badge up, kneeling down and shooting things while they spawn, is it ok to kill their spawns if they are afk...and if they are afk, are the spawns rightfully theirs? Just a thought, i'm not sure what is morally right.
The said person is a lazy bantha who just wants to grind xp while at work. If I had my way, I'd kill all the afk spawn-campers ![]()
So feel free to kill the thugs, the spawns are by no means theirs if they aren't even at their keyboard.
for god's sake yes
Kill everything that is near them to stop them AFK spawn-killing / looting, these people are BAAAAAAAD
Also if you can draw nearby aggro creatures or NPC's onto them, do that as well.....
Then laugh maniacally whenh they get killed
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Never done it, but thought about trying it, get some CorSecs to attack you, then ride your bike through the /afk persons target zone, /afk person should target themand start shooting at the CorSec guys.
Blake, I think you just gave me a new hobby
"6. You may not intentionally circumvent the player-versus-player combat features and cause another player to die, such as by "training" them.
Training is defined as pulling/leading a hostile NPC or creature along behind you and attempting to get it to attack another player who does not desire that engagement.
The intentional training of NPCs or Creatures will result in immediate disciplinary action when witnessed by a CSR. We are aware that accidents often happen causing unintentional trains, and will scrutinize each report of this activity closely."

One small problem is.... it is not forbidden to afk camp, but it IS forbidden to train mobs/npc's on to other players with the intent to kill them:

So does that mean when I was PvPing with an Imperial, and he ran next to an AT-ST to get it to attack me, he was doing a no-no? I don't get why that's wrong.

Well in that case it was your choice to follow the imperial player to the AT-ST.
And before you ask about imperials bringing the AT-ST to you, going overt means you agree to being a target to opposite faction players and faction pets.
Now if an imperial somehow causes you to get tefed (you running into a covert scanner doesn't count either) and then has his AT-ST whack you then you got a case.
The should just make AFK act like TEF against all factions (including neutrals), that way AFK players provide a service in training PvP and are the cause of a lot of actually playing player's fun.

Point taken. But if the afker has the/changetarget and /attack commands in his macro, then he is agreeing to attack whatever he has in front of him. whether that be a CorSec or a Meatlump. I wouldn't be forcing the CorSec to attack him, the afker would be the one who starts the shooting.
