I don't know if I am one of the first to do this as looking round the forums most people seem to say it doesn't work but...
Today I fixed a broken datapad & now have a Datapad (empty).
I can open it and it opens like a backpack with an inventory space of 5.
When I examine it it says...
Capacity: 0/5.
'This is a datapad. It contains no information. Perhaps if a working datadisk were added to it the information on the datadisk could be read.'
What do I do with it now lol? Only 'datadisks' I can think of are Imperial Plans etc... or treasure maps.

There are also logs from space, imp plans, a disk from the Singing Mountian Clan theme park and so on. Maybe one of them fit the bill?

I guess I will just try sticking some random stuff into it. Hopefully with the inventory style interface I can take them back out again. Will report back lol.

ok so thanks to my local bazaar and some stuff I had lying around I was able to test the following...
Data device (completed)
Title Rebel 2 (completed rebel transmission)
Turret Sequence (no idea what that is - or is it the thingie from teh warren?)
Imperial Plans 3/4 (just the part)
Rebel Plans 3/4 (just the part)
All with the same result. The hand appears as if I should be able to place them into the Datapad but when I try to 'drop' them in nothing happens.
Whats' the 'old slavegirl disk'? Sounds like some dodgy outer rim pron to me lol.
Where do I get corrupted disks again as well?

Oh good this looks like "fun".
Corrupt Datadisks are another one of the things you can "fix" in the new loot revamp, so now you have spent what's most likely a lot of time and effort to "fix" a datapad, you're going to have to go out there and get all the parts to "fix" a Corrupt Datadisk. Maybe even FIVE of them, considering it's capacity. Ohh, maybe you'll even get a painting after all that

The slavegirl disc sounds like a good lead to me. It was ramdomly occuring "content" I haven't heard about in a while where a girl would run up to you while being chased by stormies and try to give you something. I would go to your galaxy forums and ask if anyone still has the disc. No one ever found out what it was for and everyone gave up on it.
