OMG!!! Its not a sad mistake... I would actually respect the player that enjoys playing the professions that they mastered, rather than grinding... Thats why i am not going to become a jedi.... I hate the jedi grind and the new system... If I want to be a Jedi I will play KOTOR... Unless I get some huge reward other than wasting my life grinding the millions of xp needed to level up... I wont be going to jedi....

Lets see I did doc in march, for my first holo, my second was merchant I made it half way through that and decided I hated it and stopped. Since then I've mastered, Brawler, Fencer, and Swordsman. So Im saying not to close at all lol, I doubt me and the old man will be speaking tommorow at all.

I have mastered just eight professions with my primary charactersince I began playing the game - I did so because they are the ones that I wanted to explore, and I have done so at my own pace.

I do not have a mote of sympathy for those hologrinders that claim that they should be rewarded for racing headlong through everything the game has to offer, taking no time to understand it or enjoy it, because to them everything is utterly inconsequential except the "prize" at the end. Such people will never be satisfied because to them it's always about the destination.

That's not a mindset that belongs to a Jedi anyhow.

One can only wonder if perhaps such people might have enjoyed all those months had they been doing professions that appealed to them, rather than obeying a little blue box in pursuit of a profession that, by all rights, should not exist in the time of this game.

i must say TashunkaSapa that i really feel the way you do,

ive only mastered 8 profesions: marksman,brawler,medic,doc,comando,TKM,smuggler,scout

currently im master smuggler and master TK,i love my profesions and i feel bad for all those people that lost a full year of enjoying THE game.

just my 2 cents.

I talked to a CSR in game today and she told me this:

"About 50% of the people who unlocked during publish 9 did not receive the notification of unlocking"

Maybe you did unlock and didnt know. You'll find out I guess

I had 24 masters, 96 badges, and decided it wasn't worth grinding any more about a month before I knew about the quest system date..went on test center2 and I had the glow and the old man ran to me But actually going to play my other character today and eventually get my main to jedi..not in a rush anymore..trying to enjoy the game.

Mastered 8 profs that I wanted to do...now Im going to start on the other 24 now that I know I cant get jedi that way and im going to try and play each prof.

The old man is gonna get a rude awakening if he comes after me...like ive said, he's gonna be beaten half to death with his walking stick and his crystal aint gonna see the light of day again as its gonna be shoved somewhere very dark on his person.

Now that would be something! Did 31, only BH to go wich i wont do, ever, period.

i remember the devs saying that you only get credit for the holocron professions that you did. now i dont know if that means you NEEDED holocrons to get credit for them, but i hope so. it would make me happy to see all the incomplete grinders b*&h and moan about it. yes it would be unfair, but i dont care, this game is dieing. WoW will be awesome, and cheaper

My friend almost had profession 32!!! done last night. It was merchant.. not sure if he completed it in time.
