...is a bit unfair for people who 'grinded' the way I did. I just hope that people who did master LOTS (25+) professions get an unlock, or as close as possible to it. People who did only their Holo professions should not be rewarded anywhere near as much 'credit' as the people who did 20-25+ professions. Btw, I have enjoyed the vast majority of the professions I have mastered.

I dont think they will do this because then ALOT and i mean ALOT of people would be close to getting jedi, and i dont think they would just make it to where your so close you only have to do 2 things cuz you mastered alot. think of the emount of jedi that would be on the server because of this? too much complaining would go on.

Its small minded people that are too full of themselves such as the post from TashunkaSapa that really annoy me. You can think what you want in relation to those of us that want Jedi, but please stop making out like your some sort of marter for "Playing the Game"

Incase you missed it, part of the game since it was launched are the Jedi and the grinding of proffessions that went with it.Getting Jedi should always be about a long hard road, playing 1 or two proffs aint hard, try grinding then talk to me about "Playing the Game"

And just to clarify, you wont hear me whinging about lack of credit , too much credit, etc etc - end of the day I dont care, I enjoy grinding xp and hunting, grinding proffs etc If I dont get a Padawan in the next hour it will just make me more determined to strive forward harder...

Hard to believe but some of us want to play this game with a Jedi. And no flames about KOTOR, quite frankly you can take KOTOR and cram it up your..........................

One thing people (in particular George Lucas) are gonna have to accept is that this game IS going to have LOTS of Jedi in it as the majority of the film revolves around Jedi, and it is what many people know and love most about the films. Also, as only had 4 more professions to master, would it not be a bit unfair (JustG did say that the credit would be fair) for me to be put back, near enough, to square one?!?! I mean, I was only about 1-2 weeks grind away from completing all the professions.

If this is the case, SOE can say good-bye to a lot of money from the amount of cancelled accounts, as I, along with many others played this game, pretty much purely to become Jedi.

btw... why should the players who wanted to become Jedi suffer because it was someone's dumb idea to set the game in a time when the Jedi were supposed to have been all but wiped out.

SOE/Lucasarts/GEORGE LUCAS - Face facts, this is a game and has very little reflection on the Star Wars story!!!

I'm not the one trying to sound like a martyr. I spent my time enjoying the game... not suffering through it in hopes of a later payoff.

Small minded? I'm not the one begging for pity, I'm not the one who didn't get the cookie.

Getting Jedi should always be about a long hard road, playing 1 or two proffs aint hard, try grinding then talk to me about "Playing the Game"

See, that's the problem. Some people think grinding a lot of professions makes them better players, and thus more deserving of becoming Jedi. The original intent of the designers was that unlocking Jedi would require a player to experience much of what the game has to offer. Doing Armorsmith in three hours with a craftingmacro, or dancing in a cantina AFK while you sleep, do not fit this criteria. You aren't "experiencing" anything, and the only reason it's a "long hard road" is because some people would rather suffer for the possibility of a future reward than enjoy what they already have. If you think that such people have a reasonable mindset, ask yourself why any sane individual would choose to make themselves miserable for playing a game. These are the people who got burned out and quit, these are the people complaining that they didn't unlock at the eleventh hour.

All I can tell those people is "Well, if that's what's important to you, then I guess you didn't work hard enough, or perhaps you started too late". Either way, it's almost as if they feel they deserve recognition for falling short of the goal they set for themselves.

Hard to believe but some of us want to play this game with a Jedi.

Well, unless you expected to be able to play Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Palpatine or Yoda, you ARE playing the wrong game - because those are the only Jedi alive during that time period. I'm frankly tired of all the people who want this game to be something it's not - it's not a first person PvP shooter, it's not a flight simulator, and it's not a game set in a time where Jedi are as abundant as we unfortunately see them. But that's what some people clamor for, and so we get all these things done in half-measures. Then they expect us to sympathize. If you want to play a Jedi, there are other games where you can do so. If you're dead-set on playing a Jedi in this game, well you have to jump through their hoops.

But they're not awarding unlocks for "almost" succeeding.

Grinding for holos was dumb.... I opened a holo just to check it out, said chef, never mastered it... probably never will... My best friend IRL is a chef, I have no need to do it...

To date, I have mastered only those professions I wanted to with my main....

TKM, Fencer, Pistoleer, Commando, Marksman, Medic, Scout, Bio Engineer

Never once been an entertainer, don't ever plan on it either...

The new quest system should be alot more in tune with how I thought you should get a jedi... I look forward to it... and hell if there is story and meaning behind grinding a profession I might just work on it and enjoy it...

Cheers to those that have jedi and ground out 25+ professions to get there... you won't enjoy jedi either, I promise.... its just a large combat grind
