Is there a way to play multiple accounts at the same time on one computer?

Are you using Windows XP and have at least 1 GB of memory? If so, run one character under one account, and another character under another account. From Start->Log Off, choose Switch Users. This way you can switch back and forth between two accounts running simultaneously. Note that there are some problems with this, i.e. multiple processes accessing the sound card can produce poor quality sound. But it does work.

i had gotten the script neccesary to run multiple applications off of the forum but had to reformat my hard drive and lost it does anyone have the script needed to insert in program file thanx

Open notepad and type this

[SwgClient]

allowMultipleInstances=true

save this file as user.cfg

not user.cfg.txt

you may have to change the pull down menu for file type to all files to get it to save as user.cfg

i dont know what im doing wrong but this wont work it wont let me save it as a user.cfg could you be more specific with the instructions

To make it a user.cfg .... after you save the text.. juts use the command to change the file name to user.cfg

Before I get flamed, I'm posting this in the jedi forums because you are the most knowledgeable profession base in the game (go away bounty hunters).

In order to run multiple accounts, you have to have A) Two sets of game disks B) Pay for multiple accounts. Okay, I've done this. I have also set up the correct "allowMultipleInstances=true" file and made it read-only. My problem is this: I recently moved and lost one set of the disks. I have the case with the code on the back, but the disks are gone (probably in the possession of the Mayflower truck driver ).

So, I figure I could just install Galaxies from the same disk to two separate locations on my computer. This doesn't work. The only prompt I get is asking to modify files or remove them.

Will I have to purchase another set of disks in order to install the second Galaxies file? Am I totally missing a more clear, obvious solution to this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

It is because your windows' register entries forbid you to do it so removing and reinstalling should be the remedy.
