Thread: a thread for all your early swg memories..
this is a thread for all your early memories of swg.. back when you were a newbie.. back when everyone was a newbie..
i remember....
i rememberbragging to my friend that i had 8k credits from doing AH delivery missions. 8k was way more than i had in beta. I still have my DL44 that i used during the first weeks of the release. I remember everyone in mos eisley, back when it was cool and figuring out how to macro sampling...
saving for a probot to guard me while i sampled so i wouldnt DIE from kreetles and things..
harvesters were the COOLEST THING EVER because they gathered resources for you while you did other things or log out!! OMG!!
setting up a macro for sampling, going to sleep, then waking up in the middle of the night to see how much i got, and seeing how much exp i got from people using my CDEF pistols and bone armor..that was cool.. getting exp for people using your stuff.. its totally pointless now because people only use items crafted by masters, so what good is exp....
the importance of burst run and terrain negotiation...
setting up wind harvesters.. lol.. wind harvesters...

I remember entering the game on the stairs of the Spaceport, looking forward and seeing two or three people firing lasers at each other, and running hell for leather in the opposite direction thinking "Where on earth do i get a gun ?"
I also remember when someone said to me, why don't you use the shuttle instead of running between Kor Vella & Tyrenna !
ha ha
For the first several days, there was always a huge group of people hand samplingbankwards of the Coronet Starport And therewere similargroups of samplers running around the city together, stopping every few feet to sample. Everyone was in novice Artisan clothing.
Running 2000 meters everytime I wanted to get to my city.
Lightsabers on the bazzar which were really just chemical surveyors.
LOL I have been wondering that for SOOO long it isnt funny any more...
