I believe it starts on Rori, after you loot something from a wrecked ship.

OK, I've seen how good the parts from this quest are, and I'd like to know a couple things about it:
Where does it start?
How difficult is it?
and finally,
How long does it take?
Thank you in advance!

It will take you about 2hrs if you try and do it with a dual login and a noob throw away char, probably about an hour or so if you can do everything yourself, check gameguides for the Clone Relic quest thread, has the whole walkthrough.
Btw engines are still dropping with good stats, got 102.3 for my 1st try with a throw away char last weekend.

Nice. Unfortunately, I don't have an alt account. (well, my friend's account expires tomorrow, I GUESS I could somehow pull that off). Thanks!

The only really tricky part is getting to the bottom of the Singing Mountain Clan cave. I found that I was able to burst run down and open the box without getting incapped with my CL 80 guy, but got trip incapped on the way out. Ah well, free trip to the spaceport.
I don't know if a CL 1 would make it to the bottom.

I did the quest with a CL80 and 55. I stripped both chars of unnecessary gear to reduce decay and just planned on a free trip back to the cloning center.

Two things:
1) Not all Starmap rewards are good... as has been mentioned, some engines come out really sucky. My guilds SW got two pieces of trash apparently. Also, I picked up my 2nd Protecto-Net last night and it's at 1600 F/R. /gah
2) I also have a lvl 80, and as of yet have not made it solo to the bottom of the Spider Cave, despite using /burstrun, armor, duelist stance, and having some skills in the CM tree.
They group-agro, stun/dizzy/KD faster than I can can recover and kill me dead, fast.

You don't need to get to the bottom, halfway in is a side arm with some non-agro spiders. In this arm are 2 skeletons, you need the one closest to the entrance, can be used while lying incapped/dead next to it.

Did it in one shot 1 incap, no death with a CL77.
Viva burst run + feign death.

Also,
NEVER EVER EVER equip your Protectonet. EVER.
You'll average out the hps - you want ideally to snag two with 2xxx-21xx hps and RE them together.
