Keep seeing everyone refer to it as a singular entity. Was doing some thinking, what if there are multiple skills tree's that are all Jedi related? What if you can't take any of the 5 basic trees to conceal your identity. Let's say you have 1 tree that's padiwan, 1 that's knight, 1 that's lightsaber and one that's master.. you can max 3 trees correct? Just my idea.

Nice theory, but I doubt it's true. My guess is that there are two trees: Jedi and Dark Jedi, each with different skills. Who knows, maybe you're right, maybe I am. Someday we will know.

I think the four beginning Padawan training skill trees will be

1. Force Use

2. Lightsaber engineering

3. Jedi basic skill increase (i.e. Force Use ability increase 5%)

4. Lightsaber use

Yup, your pretty much lookin at it.

That seems pretty solid. The question is, however, if there will be additional skill trees- such as an exclusivelyJedi master tree. My best guess, however, is that the tree will begin with the title "Padawan", possibly "Jedi Knight" for one of the four trees, and "Jedi Master" for completing the tree.

I always imagined it as being a two tiered profesion. The first starting at padawan and ending at Jedi Knight. The second beginning at knight and ending at master. Jedi knight requireing the construction of a lightsaber among other things, and master requiring the teaching of a padawan for a certain amount of time. How this will work with the first jedi, I dont know. Its kind of like the chicken or the egg problem. Maybe there will be a Dev Jedi Master to lead the first padawan?

I know I just have 1 line of skills, there will be 4 I was just too lazy to copy/paste it more times. Anyway this is how I think it will be setup or something close to it, I only hope we are able to get FS characters soon.

We know that there's at least more then one level of Saber Throw. Try typing in /saberthrow to see what I mean.

are we forgetting that Jedi through out the novels have displayed a form of skill tree and different Jedi have shown apptitude for different skills:

Healing

Telekenisis

Telepathy/Mind Control

Just to name a few. Seems to me that given the current skills trees for the other professions, the Jedi will be laid out much the same with man branching "power" sets they can use. Just because you are a Jedi doesn't mean you can lift things with yoru mind, but you might be able to make others believe you are lifting things. If you get a chance read the novel "I, Jedi" centering on Corran Horn. Best example of the Jedi skill set with a lot more information on it that any other novels.

I remember devs saying something about how the jedi could only learn jedi skills - if that's so - wouldn't their be a need for some sort of ranged/melee combat skills needed for the first half of the journey (meaning before you get your lightsaber) They DO need to defend themselves if someone catches them using thier powers?

Jedi could have pre-reqs, or it could be a profession you can train in as soon as you find the trainer.

ok, im guessing that either:

1. you will have all the normal skill trees, or some of them, only with some force powers mixed in, like a medic would get force heal, and you will also get a jedi tree. you would have to master the jedi tree to get to jedi knight, and when you master all of jedi knight you can get jedi master, gives you bonuses, more force powers, and all that. there is no skill tree for jedi master. or..

2. you have 4 or 5 basic starting things, like force offence, saber wielding, force defence, and something else. or...

3. you get the jedi basic cert, and at the top of each of the specialization lines there is an advanced profession deal. say saber knowledge goes to some sort of melee branch of the jedi sect, and theres force mastery, and who knows what else.

Whena playergetsa fs character and pursues becoming a jedi, do they get to master 3.5 proffesions like any other player. Like could they be a jedi/weaponsmith/scout with some medical skills? Or does jedi take up the entire characters skill pool? Just wondering if this was ever brought up.
