It's now at 45,000 and growing.
It's a long way off and difficult to feel the pain, but when I saw a few anguished fathers holding their lifeless little boys in their arms and sobbing uncontrollably it hit me kinda hard.
As a single father with full custody nothing hits me like th plight of a Father and Son.
My heart goes out to all who are suffering.
May the force be with you...

OWCH.... is this actually the Earthquake victims or the tidal waves that came after? I saw video of the Earthquake and considering its magnitude it looked like they came away from it amazingly clean. What'd I miss?

This whole thing is really harsh. I had great difficulty watching the coverage this morning before work. There was a grandmother who was mourning her 5 grandchildren that didnt survive. ...thats just not right.
My deepest sympathty for all the folks that had to experience this terrible event.

My heart goes out to the victims and the families of the victims. Also, some of the islands hit by the tsunami were inhabited by tribal groups of just20 people to just a few thousand. I just hope that these whole cultures didn't vanish. It is just so devastating.
