Thread: Another Idea...mission filters

I have no idea if this hasbeen addressed before, but have the Developers even thought of implementing mission filters? I spend at least 5 minutes just looking for my missions instead of being able to grind things. I personally just think that it would be so much less of a hassle if we had this feature.
Just an idea, tell me what you all think.

you should be able to choose from more money ormore mobs, type of mob, anddirection

Excellent idea... i spend about 5-10 minutes trying to get quenker missions in the same dir (sometimes just a quenker mission!) its a pain

...and i want the ability to pick up 10 missions not just two, and choose exactly how many mobs spawn and what they drop and how much xp i get.

yea, after you play for 16 months "going out and doing different things" becomes really boring. I am grinding for force sensitive points at the moment so can actually PvP some. And I waste a lot of time just looking for missions. I take less time doing the missions than I do looking for them. I mean, if anything, at least let us filter a direction. Doesn't have to be something huge.

Lol, have fun? Like what? Get a group together and go to an over-camped dungeon only to find nothing there, or it already "reserved"? Waste a set of buffs looking for a Krayt- if you're lucky enough to find one you get KSed by Jedi looking for pearls? Go overt for some PvP and get ganked by 10 year old Jedi and get to hear such witty repartee as "I just pwned j00 n00b!"? Really, sorry but this game has become the dead zone since they nerfed solo groups- so they at least could make missions a little less tedious (allow groups to choose NPCs or critters, difficulty level, maybe direction)for those of us die-hards still left, allow solos to pick up more than 2 missions at a time, stuff like that- but thats just IMHO.
Believe me, I would love nothing else than less grinding, but that's all the devs have left us (since they obviously won't give in to making it a little more fun for everyone by instancing friggin dungeons/spawns or running more 'live' events)- so they might as well make it just a little easier. No reason to keep us standing there at the mission terms for half our buffs cause like the prior poster- I end up spending more time looking for missions than actually killing them.

It sucks looking some minutes for the right mission in the same direction, so this would be a nice feature.

Kill steal by a jedi ? lol stop attacking.. watch the krayt pwn the jedi.. resume attacking after jedi is dead or has run off. Clearly you dont actually know what your on about.
If looking for missions annoys you so much then dont do missions, kill random spawns. Doing this will usually net you xp faster. Its generally not hard to find two missions in the same direction , i manage to daily , and it doesnt take 30 minutes either.
Solo groups were fixed not nerfed !
The game is far too easy already - why make things even easier still....

It would be really nice if after you picked your first mission the terminal would only offer other missions in the same direction. Then you could just decide on money and mob. Running through countless screens just to find missions in the same direction just plain sucks. It would also be nice if after 18 months of live that the number of missions taken could be upped to at least six so you could stay out longer. I usually take my two missions, knock them out quickly and then walk back to base killing all in my path. While this is good for xp it makes grinding money slow. The ability to take more than two missions would help on the money side of things and the xp side.

Not to turn this into a flame-fest (but it probably will), but first- I've never seen a Jedi go Krayt hunting without their own little squad, have you? And a JK teamed with a TKM/Master Swords (to draw that aggro and usually equipped with uber-scythe from loot-camping) and/or -mostly and- their own rifleperson, equipped normally with an exceptional/legendary/uber (OMG i hate that word) DOT T21 can tend todo frightful amounts of damage tojust about anything in-game.So the only option left is to go try to find your own-very rare- little spawn. And hey, what better way to introduce new players to the game then with a little Krayt hunt where you get your spawn taken? Might as well see what the game is really all about.
If they actually "fixed" something, sure. But the solo group nerf did nothing for the economy, there are no credit sinks for extravagantly rich (most of those credits go to buy stuff from other players-making those players rich- it doesn't just sink back into the economy, except a -very- little at a time with shuttles, taxes and such) and now no way for the desperately poor to help themselves either.Prices haven't dropped, and most likely won't for a looooooong time, in-demand SEAs still go for near a mil per point on my server still, premium crystals for 1-5mil, good composite for 800k, and I can just see that poor new player who thought that gift of 75k was grand looking to buy a new ship and seeing an A-wing or any master box ship going for well over a million creds quitting on the spot. Heck, why should the new players ever get the chance to have nice things in this game? And, by the way, the lifeblood of this game is new accounts=peopleshelling out 50 bucks for the game and maybe the expansion and staying, especially since a lot of vets have quit recently over the lack of new content (or maybe lack of access to old content- I know I'm sick of wasting entire buff sessions going from one camped/cleared dungeon/spawn to another just looking for a break from the grind). Hell, I used to take begging new players out on solo group hunts just so that they could earn some cash- I'd buy them a decent set of grinding Ubese we'd both pull Janta/Mokk missions I'd kill the spawn while they tried to get their XP somewhere close so they could get some creds and I never heard one complaint (uh, except from the guy who didn't listen and went after the Mokks- instant DB
); and actually got quite a few thank yous since they
1) Didn't have to beg for credits anymore (at least for a little while);
2) found outwhat the blazes a solo group was and;
3) actually had someone to hunt with and(try to at least) teachthem a little on game basics- since that's really all I know 
But since this isn't a thread about KSing (oh yeah, there's no such thing- /toungueincheek), instancing dungeons,or about solo-groups......
What would be the harm in filtering missions? Like a double-elite master is going to want to pull lesser plains Bol missions on Dant- or see what missions are available South when they just picked a mission North. I'd even like to see them make more MOBs available from the mission terms- I mean a farmer has problems with Nunas but why can't I get my group together and help some poor harvester that had a Krayt Dragon keeping him from his crops, that would solve a couple problems. Why not have a mission giver that needed you to go take out Acklay or Teraud in a way kinda like the Vette missions- so just you and your group could go have fun and get loot without worrying about it wasting those buffs or it being camped, usually by someone that thinks the game is too "easy" so they just stick to hoarding the loot and making it hard for everyone else? Scortching the earth (or Dant, or wherever) is fun for XP once or twice, but after a while- usually not even that long, it gets old as well- I see 3 lesser Bol spawns for every "decent" spawn-and not all those random spawns have all that great of XP hidden in them (have to look for those 50k+ hit point lairs that don't actually say "lair" at the end). And maybe it's not "easy" for everyone- it's definitely not "easy" for a new player to make creds now, I still don't think it's "easy" soloing Elders, and I still find it a fun little challenge the rare time I actually see Acklay in his cave to go down and take some venom from him (since the4 times I've actually been able to fight him- 2 solo, 2 grouped- he didn't bother dropping bones).
So, sorry, I respect your views, even though I don't tend to agree with them so, even though I obviously don't know what I'm talking about even after 14+ months of playing.....
