Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on with that tradition so be sure to join in and add your helpful tip. Do you have a little known command you use all the time? A cool place to visit? A trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game?

Share it here.

To get things started:

Droid Storage Access made easy:

If you have a droid with storage capacity, you don't have to use the radial menu to put stuff into the droid when it's out. Simply drag the object over the droid and if there is room in its storage bin, it will take the object in and keep it for you. You still have to open the storage window to get it back out though.

Check out last week's tips

Sorry, TH. Not true. If you drag the item onto your toolbar, you can take it out without calling the droid.

droids are also handy when the trade interface is not working. i was in the village yesterday with a player who needed some resources to complete the aurilian plant quest. he couldn't click "accept" in the trade window to complete the trade. as a workaround, i put the resources in a droid with storage and then transfered the droid to him. the droid appeared in his datapad and he was able to call it and retrieve the resources.

another fun tip: items in storage droids do not suffer decay upon cloning. that said, when i'm spending time on pve, i leave my pvp stun armor in the droid; i can easily access it if i need it, but it wound suffer decay should something bad happen.

did you also know you can have up to 5 droids with storage on your data pad, so you can have up to 50 extra storage spaces

Doesn't work for droid batteries...

It's also a bug and an exploit, since normally you need your droid out to access items and it is circumventing that to make items stored away always available.

I discovered this myself by accident. I had stored my crafting tools in my droid while hunting in order to avoid having them decay if I got killed... then forgot where I had put them the next time I wanted to do some crafting and hit the shortcut on my toolbar. Only to have it appear that nothing had happened. Confused, I hit the key once more, and the crafting interface came up. Then I opened my inventory and saw the tool there in the main section. Once I realized what was going on, I started making good use of this feature. I store everything I can in my droids.
