You shouldn't be so sure then, because not all of us agree. Sure, I had a nice AA in my belt for my jedi, but I *chose* to take that risk. Nobody's fault but my own.

Suck it up, kid. There are consequences to your decisions, even the bad ones.

Oh for god's sake. Why does everyone on this board talk as if they were a USMC Gunnery Sergeant and not as they are, pizza-stuffed, fifteen year old sock molesters.

Please are angry about this change because it was unncessary and expensive. If SOE really gave a damn about armour wearing by non-armour wearing players, they'd nerf Clone armour for wookies.

LOL! Oh man. I was sipping a drink as I read that part. After two minutes, a couple of paper towels, and some Windex, I was able to reply.

omg you were molesting socks when you read that?! Thats disgusting!

LOL, no. Re-read. I just edited.

i have enough defence... i want SPEED! I agree thisWAS a fix... i just dont see how in the end.. that a sheild generator with an armor value - is not armor, but a belt with absolutely no defenceive value is armor.

I agree with the situation 100%. It was a bug...It's part of an armor set, hence it is ARMOR.

If you want to whine to SOE to fix bugs/exploits, and turn around and whine about this....well, you are an idiot.

My belt wasn't a make or break in any situation, but damn it sure gave an expensive false sense of security lol

Will have to wait now since everyone's rebuilding at once and the competition is heated...

One helluva point. PSG, which acts as armor, isn't. Belt, while classified as armor, offers no protection. Why does that sound like classic SOE?

I had the armor issue, couldn't use anything force related while wearing my belt sometimes, so I understand the reason behind chasing down the problem and fixing it. What I fail to understand is why these were not converted to clothing in the CU.

They do, look whats in TC

  • Species restrictions have been applied to Clone Trooper-style armor: Wookiees and Ithorians will no longer be able to wear the armor any more. Other species cannot wear the helm if they have oddly shaped heads (ex. Mon Calamari). Also, Trandoshans cannot wear the helmets, boots or gloves.

The Mabari Belt has not been reclassified. It has always been armor.

If you equipped the belt and then a piece of armor, and then un-equipped the piece of armor, you would have been told "You are still wearing armor", etc.

There was a bug which caused the armor check not to count belt, boots or gloves depending on the order in which they were equipped (or un-equipped). That bug was fixed in pub22, so now the belt always counts as armor, regardless what order you equip it in.

Mabari "Armor" Belts are now working as intended post publish 22.

This information is not accurate. (Nothing new I know)

Anyone who remembers when the change was applied to the UBESE SHIRTS & BANDOLIERS rememebrs that it was due to CONDITION.

The problem which prompted the changes was NOT about classification as clothing vs. armor. It was the 'RED' status of the items.

Ubese shirts and bandoliers were given CONDITION at which time they also became clothing. Mabari belts were forgotten in that patch.

I had a post or two on this problem at the time - and nobody seemed to care.

Boy don't you all wish we had agreed on this needing a fix THEN.
