Yeah, craft some camps as was mentioned, but also don't forget about traps. I ground my way through the scout survival trees by sitting in camps and making traps in practice mode. I found that the adhesive trap was worth about 73 survival xp in practice mode before I made master Scout. I haven't checked to see if it changed since then. It's just like say grinding medic orgo chem tree. Just get into the groove of clicking where you need to, and it will go really fast.

It does get better! Here's my observation as a Coronet meadow camper: When I was doing Scout camps, nobody ever stopped, and nothing ever happened, except that a kind sentient on a speeder occaisionally blasted through. How that I am setting up Ranger Field Bases, they attract a lot of attention. Docs and medics have crafted in the camp, astonished newbs have stood there in awe, even asking if it was a player or game made camp. Players have offered me work tracking, or subcontract work to fulfill a harvesting contract of theirs. It's a magnet to anyone who needs training in scout, and there are quite a few working some or all of scout, so I have gotten a lot of ap in the camp too. I often cannot resist the urge to AFK camp, especially when the dishes need doing, but most of these cool social bonuses have come when I was paying attention, maybe doing other work on my laptop, and struck up conversations with people passing through. The most it usually takes is "Hi"
playing on Ahazi as Odyesseus O'Riley, Novice Ranger and Novice Teras Kasi
Fantastic post. No reason grinding survival xp can't be entertaining.
Another helpful aid to attracting others to your camp (mind you if just outside a major traffic city, best being Cnet most likely) is invite a master musician/master dancer to buff others in your camp. set up a barker droid if you can outside the starport saying a "musician/dancer is buffing in a ranger camp for free, south of the starport, can't miss the camp". Pay the entertainer the services (helps if a friend, and no doubt theyWILL be a business partner in the futuure for the rare money they not used to)and have the peeps getting buffed get the buffs for free. This will mean healing in camp is taking place (shortens timer for max xp), increase people in camp (shortens timer for max xp) and creates a fun enjoyable atmosphere.
(mind you the buffs will be less quality than done in a cantina but not too bad and definitely worth a free buff).
One other thing not mentioned: when grinding making camps put on practice mode. The frontiering 2 camp mad eon practice mode is 178xp per i believe, best you can do.
On a side note, funniest thing. While the HTFBCamp is the best, and best wow factor, you'll find over time you only seem to make scout camps as a master ranger in the wild. Well I certainly do, scout camps are more camo-esque =P. Ironic huh?

Camp, with friends, while crafting camps and traps.
The Reader's Digest version for those with short attention spans.

Actually what is faster is to grind adhesive mesh traps (give the most xp) sitting in a camp. Also this is in an bug in the game, but you can continue to call and then store a droid and the visitor number continues to rise. Did not see a bug thread in here, but JBMat you might want to mention this bug.
Also Delta good job on the guide.

So a couple of questions, being that it has been over a year since I had to work this profession ...
Does crafting itself give survival XP?
Does crafting in a camp increase the ammount of Survival XP/time?
Does fishing still give Survival XP? (I know, not necessarily efficient but I loved to fish in the past)

Yes.
No, but it helps pass the time.

The quickest way to get the xp is to go to a Master Ranger's camp and sit in it, crafting in practice mode the biggest camp you can make. As a fellow scout/ranger, you will get half of the xp he gets. And, if you call out all your pets and invite a few friends over, the xp will soar WAY above what you can get with your camps!

The multiple droid calling in the camp to increase visitors does not work. Tried it last night. So I guess this got fixed.
