I would really appreciate if you would let me know which server is going to be consolidated with Intrepid so I can start trolling (er, I mean posting) in their forums and start building friendships with my new server-mates.

The low population servers would thank you for the news they have been waiting for. Perhaps a server other then Bria might even get Test Center status too.

Would have been nice to have a couple months ago when our city imploded! Nice feature, though.

One question:

Un-packing your House

Once you find a new location for your house:

  • Open your datapad (CTRL-D) and click the "Data" tab. Choose the packed-up house deed and pull up the radial menu. There you will see a
  • All house placement rules apply to placing your house. You can only place your house in a valid location.
  • All your decorations will be right where you left them!
  • If you start to unpack your house and decide you don't want to place it, hit escape (esc) to exit the unpacking process.

Where is the rest of this sentence?

Can anyone tell us if this feature is only for houses or if it will also be available on factories and city structures that allow you to store items inside.

Nope. This was to facilitate the fact that after the CU, certain parts of the galaxy were much more dangerous than before. People needed an easier way to move to move their houses "as-is" and not have to redecorate. Plus its a neat feature

It is a very neat feature.

What about allow semi-permanent camps that functioned the same way as the house. That would be great for Rangers. Make the camp take up so many lots, but allow them to put things inside of the tents and other storage things that pop up on the high level camps.

Used the Pack Up feature on TC when it first went on test, and, it's brilliant.

Been waiting to shift my houses on Live ever since, lol.

Yes, will the Housing Purge be released concurrently, or shortly after the House Pack-up feature hits live?

Nice info...thanks.

I would like this game feature to someday be extended to Mayors. It would be nice if a town mayor could pack houses up and shift them around in town. Let the mayor pack it up and place it in his datapad. The mayor can do two things than 1) Drop it someplace else in town 2) Transfer it to the owners datapad. If the mayor logs out and its still in his datapad, it would be automatically transfered to the owner. Also make it so residence is maintained throught this process.

Anyways, its a good friday feature and a good game feature. More of this and less of the nurfing.

Ohh I have a question. In this feature he onlyu lists small and med houses as being able to be moved. Is this just a typo on his part Or is that what we are getting. No large and no PA being able to be moved.

The bility to move a small house is sort of neat. But the real beneifit will come to those that have large houses or PA Halls loaded with goods. They are the ones that take all the extra trips to try and move things. And lets be honest one of the things are looking at for this feature is the ability to move predecorated houses. How many people do you know that have any small type 2 naboo houses decorated in anyway?

Neither- - this feature was to accommodate folks whose houses were in dangerous locations after the CU.

FWIW, when the housing purge happens, we'll give folks lots of advanced notice!

Hallelujah and about time. I hope the bugs on this have been worked out and it is ready for Publish 22. I have a store house in the sticks that I am sick of driving 5km to. I just haven't wanted to pack and unpack everything though, so this is an excellent feature for me. I also like the not worrying about redecorating either. It takes me forever to decorate, and hate having to do the same house twice. I guess the big leap on this was the SoroSuub and other POB ships retaining their decorations. Useful Friday Features for the win!
