There isn't a great place to put this sort of post, so the Friday Feature seemed an approprtiate one.
To all the team working on SWG:
THANK YOU
In the time since publish 19 was released we have seen a significant increase in communication from the team, and as I have been asking for this for a while I feel honour bound to say cheers.
Specifically:
Blixtev, a number of very frank and honest posts that have really helped us help you;
JFreeman (congrats on new role btw), the getting on the same page project and for signing a petition;
Jo-Don, for breaking double figures on your post count;
Tiggs, for putting on an event in your own time, and just for being the Tiggs;
TH, for a great Tuesday Tip;
Chrysalide, for coming onto TC to work with us on the entertainer change testing;
Seani, Vrixx and the other QA for being of more value to this game than most people know;
To all the 'quiet' devs for working behind the scenes (or working with the Correspondents).
I've criticised in the past but am glad to have seen the increase in communication which I'm sure will help improve the quality of this game, keep it up
Holy crap dude, reading your post I thought for sure you were a nooblet
Having been here since near launch you know gall dang well that the communication was much better back in the day.
Not sure what the hell you are talking about......
Great guide Pawlin, hats off to you /bow pawlin

Like I said before....if you starve a man for months and then give him a single cracker, that will be the best damn cracker you ever had. "That wasn't no regular saltine, was it? That was a Ritz, right?" (Thank you Eddie Murphy.)
Oh.... it's a
Devaorinian Fur Glosser.
How remarkably thoughtless.
Oh well, I guess no 2-year rewards.

Better yet, I saw a "Paw of Approval" as the very first reply to the new Player Events thread. Apparently, staff patting each other on the back in front of the community is far more important than effective communication of pertinent information. Sorry if this seems like a flame, but the truth is the SOE team really needs to regroup if they want to see their customer satisfaction rating improve. As I said in another thread,appearance goes a long way and effective communicationis far better than frequent communication...unfortunately (with the possible exception of Blixtev)it appears that lately the Devs don't care too much for our feedback and thecommunicationis neither frequent nor effective.

Normally I don't post regarding these issues, but I finally had to say something.
THIS SUCKS.
I used to eagerly await the Friday feature, before the game was even released. Since I've returned after not playing for a year, the dev communication has dropped exponentially. We get PLAYER communication (The developers don’t care to write anything worthwhile, so they just link to something else), data that's been around the forums for years and worthless crap that just looks like a lazy attempt by the devs to put something up, regardless of how worthless it is.
For the last month the only worthwhile communication I've seen is through the actual game designers (Blix, Green Marine). How ironic, the people that are responsible for relaying information are just paid to sit around and say cute things "PAW OF APPROVAL" - ridiculous. I miss the days of Q-3P0 and Holocron.
It really took me a month of consistent crap for me to say something, it's just too much for me to handle.

Actually, TH or Tiggs posts in that, and the galactic homeshow every single time a new one is posted by the mods...The reason being is that they KNOW people (like me) click dev tracker several (hundred!! LOL) times a day looking for updates. They know people will click on the post that they made, thus garnering attention to the Home show and Player events posting by the moderator.

The quote "blind leading the blind" comes to mind when I think about the communication we get from you guys.
What is up with FRS?
Why are premium and flawless pearls/crystals not dropping?
Why do doctors heal better than Jedi?
Why does my lightsaber have an action cost of 100, yet it weights about a pound, then things like a flamethrower, have a similar action cost? Reduce saber action cost. Right now fighting is a joke, you end up standing there auto attacking waiting for it to regen.
Let me guess you have a jedi? There are other Professions that need more help then your jedi. Be happy that your class is in 90% of the patchs.Message Edited by Wynn814 on 07-15-2005 05:14 PM
What tipped you off? And being one I'm attempting to bring attention to the problems, as I'm sure you would with your professions. Is there something wrong with that?
Sorry I was out of line, but I keep seeing more and more of each patch go to Jedi and less going to crafters.

It would be nice if they fixed the Fusion Experimentation.
Shame that they can't also announce bug fixes for a FF too.
Architech Friday Feature ?
I wish I worked a double and got some overtime from 3rd shift instead of coming home early to read about what I knew from back in the beginning of the game, about the Arch Profession.
Been better if this Friday Feature was about some info regarding the Vet rewards.
