The Mabari Belt has not been reclassified. It has always been armor.
If you equipped the belt and then a piece of armor, and then un-equipped the piece of armor, you would have been told "You are still wearing armor", etc.
There was a bug which caused the armor check not to count belt, boots or gloves depending on the order in which they were equipped (or un-equipped). That bug was fixed in pub22, so now the belt always counts as armor, regardless what order you equip it in.
Mabari "Armor" Belts are now working as intended post publish 22.

We all know this... people Are just pissed cuzz they cant exploit and Use AA's anymore..
silly jedi...
and all of this animosity could've been avoided if the highlighted part had been stated from the beginning. As it stands right now, all of us figured that Marbari belts had indeed been converted to clothing once the CU hit.
But whatever you just have to roll w/ the punches....

this is so friggin retarded. how can they let a bug exist for over 2 years and not even acknowledge that its a bug, and then suddenly nerf the most uber items on the whole frikkin server??its called a mabari "ARMORWEAVE belt"....not "ARMOR belt"i cant believe they are gonna drop the ball on this one, and let it fade into oblivion as "working as intended". deffinately one of the worst nerf decisions of all time.
*YOU* dropped the ball on yourself, not SOE. Get over yourself.

"the fact that it offers no protection is irrelevant"

I strongly disagree. Armor that offers no protection is, by definition, not armor at all.

To Developers, not directed at Baciacca
The game is different from how it was "intended" to be at launch. Armor attachments and clothing attachmentsneed to be made into a generic "skill attachment" placable in anything with a socket. In the begining it was "intended" that EVERYONE could wear armor, well thats not how it works now, and you need to take the time and effort to make things right.
The CU introduced innate armor for Teras Kasi Artist yetmost if not all the Teras Kasi Artist Skill attachments I own are on Armor Attachments.
Question: Did the CU convertion magically convert these Teras Kasi Artist Armor Attachments seeing as how they can't posssibly exist??
Answer: NO.
Question: Did the CU remove grenade experimentation as a lootable skilltape?
Answer: NO, I have looted 2 since the CU went live.
This is unacceptable and you know it. This isn't a fix, you are just playing word games, proclaimingoh, oh, now it's "armor", it's publish 22 it'stoo late to be making a change like this. Your entire game is bugged, I can't tell what is working as "intended" and what isn't.Wedo not have ESP, we are not mind readers, andyet youhave the audacity to make the players shoulder the burden of YOUR MISTAKES. Way to make already frustrated players even more upset.
You know why you lose customers,it's because of garbage like this.

At a certain point in a game when items are usable without any /bug report they become intended items.
This belt has been "Bugged" for a long long long time. With that people asumed it was as intended because SOE said nothing to counter it.
If SOE would have put a simple "The belt is not as intended and will be nerfed" people wouldnt have used it and invested 100's of millions of credits into it.
The problem is SOE makes decisions "Fixes" bugs without the consideration of the impact on the player base. This is bad business no matter how you slice it.
A simple "Break" option on the belt to remove those AA's so they can be sold would be a least something!!
So stop flaming people for using an item that has been working inthe game for a very long time.
RIght now debating this topic doesn't really matter. Until we can get a response from a dev regarding why certain items have been changed and others haven't, we are just inflating our post count. We need to also think ahead to the future and ask if there are any other changes coming to jedi clothing items such as Ubeese bandos, Ubeese shirts and PSG's.
