You have to realize Thunderheart has been feeding us this same <edit> for almost 2 years. You just have to come to grips with the fact that there never was a Combat upgrade/revamp/balance/top 5 issues/anything.
Everytime he lied last year about it. Everytime he lies about it now. There is no combat upgrade that is why they have no information on it. Theres nothing he can tell us we don't already know. Enjoy the screenshots.

And I posted plenty ofretorts. And got a few one stars myself. Being understanding and patient isn't a very popular thing to do around these parts.

Thanks for the retort. As for demanding, I wouldn't say that at all. Mainly just exasperated and exhausted that this has been so long in coming (btw, mine was the GAH!!! post not the NOW! post and to my understanding gah is more of a sound of frustration than demanding). I just think that it would be much better if they could focus on the game instead of wallpapers and things. All those fluff things are cool, don't get me wrong. I understand the being understanding and patient part but when the majority of the player base is, and has been, wanting details or just basic information (more so than we have recieved) for so long, stuff like this agravates us. Heck, I would even be happy if there was a strong stickied statement somewhere from the devs saying that they will no release any information period about the CURB until it goes to public beta and that they don't expect it's release anytime soon. But that each week they keep coming here and saying "Next week"... "Next Week",,, "Next Week" and then throw something like the wallpapers at us, is just plain ridiculous. Eventually if you tease that pit bull enough with the scent of a bone, he is gonna break his chain and bite you in the a$$.
One things for sure is that if I was a dev working on the CURB, I wouldn't dare look at the posts about the CURB. I couldn't take heat that is thrown their way. So for that and them keeping on pushing and trying to get it right, I salute them. But either come out with a strong statement of whats going on each week or tell us we are not getting anything till it goes to public beta. Is that too much to ask?

You guys have been saying this for 2 weeks now. Some of us want to get on with the game, and we're waiting for information such as what's going to happen to the old armor, so we dont waste good attachments in armor thats going to be nerfed. Couple this with some of the broken loot drops thats going around, and youve got one very unhappy customer who has no reason to login.

I beg to differ. Demanding something that you are paying for is being an irate customer, not a spoiled brat. People are sick of the dangling carrot which gets yanked back like it is truely the bait that it is. A spoiled brat act is one starring posts and calling others to cuff because they feel their money is not being spent as wisely as it could be. If someone works for you, and like it or not, we pay the bills at SOE, and the set a timeline for something and fail to deliver, do you not hold them accountable? I know this is how it works in the real world, but the Dev/Community Relations team here act like damned Civil Servant union reps. "Here's that carrot guys, make sure and pay your union dues on time".
People are tired of empty promises of things to come.I think we are all in full on "show me don't tell me"phase as a customer base. I urge those of you, like me, who are displeased with what TH has posted and his obvious ignoring of the tough questions to PM his boss, Calandryl_SOE or SOE_Tyrant. Enough of the double talk already.

Yes, but personally, I like helping people who treat me well. If you are an irate customer chances are you'll get less help than if you were a respectful customer.
Where have you been for the last few publishes? Empty promises? They have delivered on a ton of stuff that wasn't even promised that made the game that much better.
And if you feel you money might be better spent then by all means spend it better! Nobody is forcing you to play. Apparently you enjoy this game or you wouldn't be so concerned about the information. Maybe you should cut the people who createdthe gamea little bit of slack. If you hadn't noticed, there are some bugs they need to fix and I bet they need some time to focus on getting all of it ironed out. Sometimes there are more pressing issues than informing the community about what is coming. I'd rather hear nothing and suddenly have tons of bugs fixed than hear a constant stream of possible additions while the current bugs persist.

I'm sorry,I forgot to add the /endsarcasm to the end of that post. Check the date my friend, I've been around since just after launch. The difference between myself and the majority of the people that play this game, is that I refuse to "pay while waiting".
About every 4 months SOE gets another $15 from me. I check on my friends, I check on my stuff, and run arounds the server to see the new "changes". However, the bottom line is this.......something as integral as "combat" in a game that involves PvP and Bounty Hunter missions and is NOT (under their own admittance) "as intended is game breaking. I refuse to pay for this "beta Z" game for longer then two months at a time. They opened the forums where I can read all the changes you guys read. So I can't retort, sometimes it may be better that way.
Once again.....no no no, I'm not new here at all. I've seen this time and time again, like most of you.
*TRUTH TIME* Here it is......SOE....KNOWS your going to take their BS. It's no secret. They know you will all renew. There has been so much "personal hype" about the Combat REBALANCE, that it's almost as if SWG is "going live" again. Everyone wants to see what it's like, everyone wants to say they were here when it happened. Hell, I'd be willing to bet that even IF Kurt decided to gives us EVERY last detail about the Combat REBALANCE and you did NOT like ti at all. You would very well stick around JUST to watch it go love. You know it, I know it, and you can be DAMN sure SOE knows it. The Combat REBALANCE has an almost "mythical" status now...it's as if people MUST know what it's like....gamers MUST see the changes....and (IMHO) SOE is using it for all it's worth.
All I ask is this....when SOE launches the new Comabt REBALANCE, I really, really, really hope the just STICK TO IT! Don't give into the whinners, and b!tchers. This is the LAST shot SOE is going to get at this game, you can believe THAT....you can also believe they know it. If I don't like the new Comabt REBALANCE, I will log off just as quietly as I logged in. The situation and game state have gone too far for repair. THIS is why SOE NEEDS to be VERY clear about the mechanics and intentions of the Combat REBALANCE. It goes without saying that the Comabt REBALANCE will have bugs once released...hell, just look at the new and improved TEF system, that's not working as intended either.
SOE, bottom line, release it and stick to it!
I really would like to know if SOE is STILL making a profit from SWG. Two years is a very short life span for games of these types.

Kurts Boss: Yeah, about that...look, we all think it's best if we went with something a little differnt THIS Friday.
Kurt: What are you saying? You said LAST Friday that we could focus on the Combat Upgrade.
Kurts Boss: I know, I know, your right. But we just need to delay it a bit more at this point.
Kurt: I don't get it...we KNOW what we are going to do, we KNOW how it's going to work. Surely we are not going to change the very foundation of the Combat Upgrade...we can at least give them that.
Kurts Boss: No, no. The PR people just think this is all about timing, and this just isn't the right time.
Kurt: Do you realize what your doing to me and my name with the community?
Kurts Boss: I think I have some idea, but trust us, we have done our homework on this one. They will forget, just like last time.

Kurt shuts the door, walks to the window to open it all the way. Pulls open the middle drawer of his desk, and shifts through some paperwork. Pulls out an old matchbook, and a Camel non-filter. He strikes the match and begins to smoke. He goes back to the same drawer and reaches in a final time to pull out a flask that contains a very strong odoriferous brown liquid. Standing at the window, smoking and drinking....Kurt has a little laugh to himself about the situation and mutters to himself......awww phuck em all.
*last note...I ALWAYS use the term Combat REBALANCE. To change the name to "Upgrade" just sounds like PR propaganda. It sounds like a request made at some meeting about how calling it a Rebalance just makes it sound like the system has never been correct, a very indictment that SWG gamers haven't been playing a final version game to date. While Upgrade makes it sound more like your getting something for free.
"Would you like us to rebalance your brakes, or would you prefer to Upgrade at no additonal cost?" Get it?
Kurt, no hard feelings man....oh wait, yes there are....just not from me. I'm used to it.
