Well, the crafting skills don't have a "skill cap" per se. They have a "SEA modifier cap" to be more accurate. It's pretty much +20 across the board. City specialization bonuses count against the modifier cap and don't stack, but Force modifiers do. Just to keep it really confusing. Neither of those bonuses, however, adds to the number of experimentation points available, though... only SEAs do that.

Actually, the guide clearly states that negative modifier tapes NO LONGER WORK.


In short, this tape is "stuck" with the +25 beserk.

If u intend to copy anyone else's guide in future make sure u understand them urself. Its great that u compiled to threads into one easy reference thread but contradicting the guide itself and someone who has understood the guide and read previous incarnations of it and actually used the info ingame, just cant be ignored.

Thanks for pointing this out SgtSixpack,in this case the answer i posted is correct and the guide is outdated By the way, although I have taken other guides and combined them, they certainly are not copies.I havegone through all the material and updated/addedmuch info not offered on theguides iused. and believe me i understand the material, but you did find a spot that needed updating Updated!

if they were copies, they would have the same outdated information. instead they are revisions and i've done my best to update any information for the sake of simply having a post for anyone to have as reference.i must be wrong about the points if you say so, i have really just taken other people's testimony on that.there is no claim of pride in the guide.i simply just try to provide some sort of help to others whomightneedclarification of such a useful part of the game.i take no credit for anything.i am justtaking a couple of old posts together and updating them when neededfrom patch to patch.i'm surely not the owner, it is purely free information.

Thank youfor the excellent guide!

...while I know this is not directly related I may be mixing things up a bit, so I would like to ask a question.

When I equip a wearable container (bandolier, military pack etc.) that has more than one modifier they are all added to my stats and not just the one with the highest modifier, right?

correct, any clothing/armor that has stats, all the stats apply. the highest number rule only applies to skill tapes

Tbh - I dont believe u. U only need a skill tape of equal value to cancel out the unwanted higher stat on a skill tape.

U need a +3 carbine speed dropped into an item of clothing/armour before dropping the skill tape above.



Also u admit that u have copied other peoples work in the original post, so what are u saying now? I used to have links to the 2 guides that u plagarised to compose this guide. Sure it saves having 2 links but in no way did u invent the source material.


In reference to the red quote,u have directly copied previous guides since this guide is formatted exactly them same. Just cut and pasted 2 different guide and claim its ur own. TBH I dont care about that - just know that u are posting errors then I have to flag it.


Dont claim the info to be urs cause u never tested it personally or u would know that what I posted above is true.


If what u say is true then u would end up with an item clothing/armour with


carbine speed +3

carbine speed +3


and everyone knows this does not happen due to previous rules about skill attachments.


I think u should just shut up now, cause ur wrong and any one with personal experience on this matter can tell u that.

Sapphire get a +25 Berserk tape or clothing! It will cancel out that tape's +25 and the +24 med exp will stick (confirmed thanks to sgtsixpack). Oh yea and 5 stars to you for good luck! lol
