Thread: ULTIMATE Guide to Clothing\Armor Attachments (Skill Enhancement Attachments) -small cu update note

This guide doesn't seem to mention skill caps on the different skills at all.Which would be useful in knowing when getting moreSEAs would actually benifit you. I.E. speed tapes are useless if you go over +100 total due to the speed equation. I also know that Combat Defences (Melee/Ranged Def, Dodge, CounterAttack, and Block) cap out at +125 but I don't know if that includes SEAs. What other skills have caps?
Sorry guys, I know this has come up all over the forums but I can't find any offical, or even agreed upon source.
Well, the crafting skills don't have a "skill cap" per se. They have a "SEA modifier cap" to be more accurate. It's pretty much +20 across the board. City specialization bonuses count against the modifier cap and don't stack, but Force modifiers do. Just to keep it really confusing. Neither of those bonuses, however, adds to the number of experimentation points available, though... only SEAs do that.

Alright, so what do you think about this problem?:
I have recently acquired a CA with stats: Berserk +25 and Medicine Experimentation +24
I have 2 theories to unlock the 2nd mod:
- In this theory, a -2 berserk ca is enough to unlock medical experimentation. I've been advised to do so, but as it is unconfirmed, I don't want to start testing on this particular ca.
Thanks for any feedback
Actually, the guide clearly states that negative modifier tapes NO LONGER WORK.
In short, this tape is "stuck" with the +25 beserk.

Now this is the question "
Nice guide, but i didn't get it I got the following
Tape: Melee Defense +4
Food Exp +2 H
ow can i get the Food Exp to stick ?
"
This reply is different from ur own guide (I know u have just copied other peoples guide to compile this info):

You will need to find a +5 Melee Defense or higher tape, place it on the clothing first, and THEN place your +4 Melee Defese/+2 Food Experimentation tape on. Since you already have the higher +5 on the clothing, the +4 cannot top it, and instead will place the +2 Food Experimentation on insteadJust make sure theres no +3 or higher Food Experimentation on the clothing! lol
"To get food experimentation to stick u need to put +4 melee defence (or higher) into an item of clothing before u add the skill tape with two stats."
Read this part ofur own compiledguide to see that u have contradicted ur self:
"
Tape #1 +23 grenade experimentation +20 armorsmith experimentation
Tape #2 +20 armorsmith experimentation +23 grenade experimentation
To get the +20 armorsmith experimentation to stick on EITHER Tape #1 or Tape #2, you would need to put a +23 (or higher) grenade experimentation tape on the clothes item first. In both cases 2 sockets are necessary
"
If u intend to copy anyone else's guide in future make sure u understand them urself. Its great that u compiled to threads into one easy reference thread but contradicting the guide itself and someone who has understood the guide and read previous incarnations of it and actually used the info ingame, just cant be ignored.

Tbh - I dont believe u. U only need a skill tape of equal value to cancel out the unwanted higher stat on a skill tape.
+3 carbine speed
+2 def vs blind
U need a +3 carbine speed dropped into an item of clothing/armour before dropping the skill tape above.
Also u admit that u have copied other peoples work in the original post, so what are u saying now? I used to have links to the 2 guides that u plagarised to compose this guide. Sure it saves having 2 links but in no way did u invent the source material.
