last night was my first time ever going to the borgle caves. i found very few people there and they were all very polite and friendly. actually met a couple of people down there that i will continually hang out with. early this morning however, a ninja looter came down and stood next to the pile i was at. he never said a word to anyone. as soon as the spawn hit, he not only looted all but one of the items in the pile i was at, but got all the items in the pile another guy was at as well. the other guy was pretty peeved and eventually left. i got to talking to the ninja looter. i wont say his name, but wodian you know who you are. hehe. actually it turned out that wodian was a pretty decent fellow. he and eye conversed and looted through the night. i never had to use the tips and tricks discussed here until wodian got there. after a few times of getting 1 or no items i experimented with these tips and was eventually able to get a small share of the loot. wodian is on a much better conn so he still got the majority. no problem though. the conversation was pleasant and it beats being down there by yourself. would rather have company to share it with as opposed to going insane.
today however was very different. i logged in and went to the cave only to find wodian still there (hadnt slept a wink mind you) as well as a few of his guild buddies camping every pile. since i didnt know the other guys i went to wodians pile and camped it. figured he certainly wouldnt mind after the night before. we exchanged short pleasantries and shortly there after the first spawn hit. i got nothing as i wasnt really prepared. 30 minutes later the spawn hits and i got 1 tape. i was happy enough. chatted it up till next spawn was about to hit. this time i got 2 loots! a tape and an armor attatchment. 3 spawned so i was happy. first time i had outlooted wodian. as soon as he and his cronies get through running the rest of the piles, his buddy (who was looting the pile next to us) comes back and starts complaining that i got ALL of the loot. i laughed and said i had never been able to get it all but i was fortunate enough to outloot wodian for a change and got 2. turns out that this guy had stepped over to me and wodians pile and was trying to make sure they got all of the loot. he was actually miffed that between the 2 of them they were not able to get every last tape in the entire cave!! furthermore he demands that i tell him how i got all 3 pieces. i politely told him that i got 2 pieces and was thrilled about it. he pitches a fit. calling me a liar and claiming that he and wodian got nothing out of that pile and it wasnt fair. i had to somehow be cheating. i tried to tell him about this message thread but he wouldnt hear any of it. he didnt even wanna read it. demanded that i tell him my "cheat" or...... get this . this is the good part. or...... he was gonna call a csr on me. hehe. this was the most frustrating yet amusing thing i had ever heard. how crazy is that. these guys camp all night and get pissed because they dont get all the loot all the time. i dont mind sharing. in fact i would prefer to do so. the other guy swore i was lieing and that i had indeed got all 3 pieces. wish i could. finally i told him exactly how to find this thread and even how to go into windows and mouse options to bind his mouse. still wouldnt hear any of it. finally had to put the **edit** on ignore. meanwhile wodian stands over there and says "no worrys. ill just have to start my auto loot macro". now wodian wasnt a bad guy. hate it came down to this. i enjoyed his company but finally had to put him on ignore too just to save myself some grief. i was getting very angry by this point and finally just logged. hated to give them their way. i know that was probobally the whole point anyways but too aggravating. no sense getting so upset over a game. this was flurry server by the way and my characters name is xarkuhn. sorry for the long post. just had to vent. i enjoyed the looting while it lasted but in my opinion the static loot drops just leave the door wide open for discontentment among players. i imagine this same scenario happens every night in every galaxy. end the static loot drops and add the loot to higher level mobs. make people earn it.
heh, see +8 attachments for everyone...i don't feel like typing it again, but to make a long story short...
i've killed dozens of NS highlevel chicks. hundreds of singing mountain high level chicks. i've died dozens of times. bought buffs hundreds of times, and dozens of ubese suits. still-not a SINGLE good piece of loot. and some jerk in the middle of a newbie cave can sit there and watch TV and check every 30 minutes and get lucky for a +7 weapon experimentation or something. and they're doing NO work at all...really, this is just the kind of crap that pisses me off. like the at-st in coronet. is that part of the imp crackdown or something? its non attackable, and i'm an OVERT REBEL! why won't it shoot me? there are people yelling "slicing weapons 3k" and "crates of muon gold for sale" and it just sits there, going about its patrol route....REALLY nice job devs, that will make me overlook all the other holes in the game.
looking back, i made a long story even longer..w/e. and i'm angry this morning. don't take it too hard devs..oh wait, you don't read what other people think who play your game, do you?
