Thread: Friday Feature July 15th: Architect FAQ
Who the hell wants to be an architect in this game even those who are in it for the love of the profession are just going to get ignored while jedi get publish after publish................ actually why post any profession faq if it isnt jedi because that is all which is getting focused on at the moment.
I could rant on but i think the truth speaks for itself.
Better yet, I saw a "Paw of Approval" as the very first reply to the new Player Events thread. Apparently, staff patting each other on the back in front of the community is far more important than effective communication of pertinent information. Sorry if this seems like a flame, but the truth is the SOE team really needs to regroup if they want to see their customer satisfaction rating improve. As I said in another thread,appearance goes a long way and effective communicationis far better than frequent communication...unfortunately (with the possible exception of Blixtev)it appears that lately the Devs don't care too much for our feedback and thecommunicationis neither frequent nor effective.

I used to eagerly await the Friday feature, before the game was even released. Since I've returned after not playing for a year, the dev communication has dropped exponentially. We get PLAYER communication (The developers don’t care to write anything worthwhile, so they just link to something else), data that's been around the forums for years and worthless crap that just looks like a lazy attempt by the devs to put something up, regardless of how worthless it is.
For the last month the only worthwhile communication I've seen is through the actual game designers (Blix, Green Marine). How ironic, the people that are responsible for relaying information are just paid to sit around and say cute things "PAW OF APPROVAL" - ridiculous. I miss the days of Q-3P0 and Holocron.
It really took me a month of consistent crap for me to say something, it's just too much for me to handle.

Why are premium and flawless pearls/crystals not dropping?
Why do doctors heal better than Jedi?
Why does my lightsaber have an action cost of 100, yet it weights about a pound, then things like a flamethrower, have a similar action cost? Reduce saber action cost. Right now fighting is a joke, you end up standing there auto attacking waiting for it to regen.

Let me guess you have a jedi? There are other Professions that need more help then your jedi. Be happy that your class is in 90% of the patchs.

I did....and I class this as whining about the FF, Pawlin invested time in the FAQ and he got picked for the FF.

Dude did you read this post at all? No one is saying anything negative about this guide... BUT ITS NOT A FEATURE! Its a recycled guide that anyone to this point that wanted to read it... probly has already. All the devs did was say "We need a FF... instead of spending some time on one, we are going to spend all our times haveing meetings discussing the same thing every day. So look for a guide really quick... the Arc board is the first Profession board so get it from there."
And Wynn814 dont post that! Your giveing themammo for next week!!

You should of used it this week to tell us what our 2 year vet reward will be.
ok, im not one to complain lots, but this is getting out of hand. Dev's, do you actually take the time to read what players post after you post the FF? or do you just say " hey works over! lets go go go!!!" and jump out the window into your cars. we dont care about guide, mostly because they were already avalable to us before hand, because the players wrote them. Stop taking things that we can already find out by clicking a few buttons, and give us useful for once like say.. i dunno vet rewards? or capital ships?? info on the next expantion?? next publish info? GCW revamp info? and hey, if your going to put a guide up, how about you write one abotu something useful? like a DWB guide, or something along those lines.

I might add Pawlin has been my peer for over 2 years now. I very much respect his work and the fact that he's stuck with Architect as long as I have.
But, this situation that we're discussing is the tact of the Community Representatives posting information that has been listed on the Architect forums for almost 1.75 years in the FAQ that Pawlin wrote back then. There are critical issues with the game right now, in this post-CU environment, which keep having the basic rules of this game rewritten every 2 to 3 weeks. I'd like those addressed, not regurgitation of the Architect FAQ.

I can honestly say I have found Pawlin and his Guide to be some of the most valuable information on these Forums.
Yes, this info was always available on the forums, but i think it is kewl when a player get some recognition for his dedication and efforts to the community.
