Excellent idea give players the option to refuse tips however maybe add a function to your game options that you can turn this feature off/on at your conveince.

I probally should post cause ill prolly get flamed, but this petition goes to show the lack of thought and the eagernmess to Blame soe for every problem.
A) SOE's legal department would review everything before they banned an account, the legal repercussions of banning an innocent player would wreak havok on the company. So i hve to belive that SOE would not be in business today by banning random or innocent people. How many other exploits exist that people are carrying out daily that SOE hads not banned people over even though it is an obvios exploit.
B) Most exploiting players comkments re as follows: the game code allows it so its not an exploit," or more likely its a "F$%^ You " when you warn them nicely what there doing can be considered questionable.
Personally I feel its about time SOE backed its own EULA.
For those that can read this and have been banned heres a little helper that may saynd up in court.
SOE is banning you on the premise of a contract you have between them and you called an End User License Agreement. SOE is obligated to uphold that contract, if you can show documented proof of an obvious violation of the contratc that SOE was made aware of and did not take appropiate action, then you have shown a patteren that SOE does not uphold the contract airly and accross the board, and then that you were selected not solely as a contract violation issue. since SOE has a proven record of NOT enforcing its own contract, except now in this case when it has become convientent for them

Although I'm wondering about something. As a part-time seller of vehicle deeds and other small stuff, I occasionally accept tips then trade my product through the trade window, as sometimes the buyer doesn't have credits on him. Regardless, duped credits are duped credits, so if they are "tipped" or transferred via the trade window, it's all the same. What I'm wondering about is how can crafters safely sell their product when the real crime isn't in accepting tips, it's in taking any form of duped credits (through sales and tips)? I mean, it's all fine and good to refuse tips from "strangers"
but having to stop my business is another thing altogether. If someone could set me straight on this, please do.

/sign,
why can't the accept tip dialog or bank tip dialog for that matter be similar to the accept/refuse group command?

Yeah, I thought it was rather funny when the alert said to "refuse" tips.
Is it at all possible the Devs have no idea how bank tips work in their own game?

this is from a post I made in the core systems forum bout that
------------
thats a good idea and simple one at that..
I think the one to send bank tips should be changed a tad too:
popup to send: Are you sure you wish to send 10,000 credits to AAAA. A 15% Imperial Tax will be added to your amount. Please type the reason for this transfer. _________________
(Send) (Cancel)
pop up to accept: Do you wish to accept the credit bank tip from XXXXfor ______________?
then I think after the acceptor accepts it the sender should get a ingame message as well as a email and vice versa for each.
Popup confirmation: AAAA has accepted 10,000 credits for ________. Please be patient, transferring funds...
popup confirmation for reciever: You have accepted the transfer of 10,000 credits for ____. Please be patient, recieving funds

How hard can it be to code a small box that requires a click input to accept a credit transfer.
