Just wonder when the Frontal Lobatomies were all performed on the staff? It's the only reason I can think of for the lack of creativity recently.

Now here's a question for everyone disappointed with this one. What would you like to see as Friday Features excluding stuff you know they won't tell you? And if you can't figureout what they can and cannot say, then you're not putting much thought into it.

I wholeheartedly disagree. There needs to be SOME discussion with the client (i.e., the paying customers), and there has been zip to date. They did the same damn thing with the Jedi revamp. They did ALL the planningwith no player input, from March/April until it was published on TC2. By the time it gets developed to that level, it's too late for any of us to give meaningful input.
The Devs thought the same. The alpha testers are all paying customers, either chosen by SOE (Correspondents) or chosen by people chosen by SOE. We're all giving the best feedback we can. Can't say much beyond that.
They discussed stuff with us pre-launch and pre-beta. Remember Outcasting? They interacted with their potential customer base for quite a while regarding this issue, and in the end, decided to scrap it. Sure, there were some unhappy people, but at least there was some discussion, and they laid out the reasons behind their decision to not implement Outcasting.
Actually, I was never part of the beta. Been part of SWG since launch though, and I have seen some discussion, some not. But read above about the current discussion going on. I know it must be frustrating to not be a part of the process for now, but you will have your say. Until then, trust in the Corrs and their picks.
We, the customers, have not seen any design documents, plans, etc., as to what they have planned for this Combat Upgrade. Why? Are they afraid another company is going to steal their ideas (thus the NDA)?
Certain customers have. I think they're more worried about people flipping out if they have to change things, as I said earlier. You're still invited to participate, but at a certain point.
WOW has given this game a proverbial kick in the teeth and sent SWG reeling. They need to do something, anything, to give those of us remaining some glimmer of hope.
This is a difference of opinion. WoW does a lot of things right but still feels a bit shallow. There's still a few systems I'm not happy with, but who knows. The CURB is the glimmer of hope and it's very real and, as far as we know, moving ahead every day.

Anyone else notice how all those moaning that this is a rubbish FF have been in game for over 9 months, most over a year...
Don't you guys think by now you should know rather a lot about the game and should be expecting to already know nearly every bit of advise / information coming out in FFs and TTs...
Try thinking about all those people who have been playing this game for less than 3 months and for whom all this information is very useful...

Maybe they're using all that creative energy working on the CU. Really, which would you rather have: a really nice Friday Feature or a game that works better?

It's not ready yet. They didn't give out much information when they were inthe planningphases of JtL.

How about a Friday Feature on the upcoming combat balance. Let us know anything (that you guys are allowed to speak on) about whats being planed, whats going on with the alpha testing, etc...
Try HERE or HERE
First of all those things are from overa month ago and are not even friday features... Im refering to NEW information about the combat balance just like they were doing for JTL.

SWGCommando.com will be down for a couple of days (perfect timing I know)...had a hard disk crash at the place that hosts my server and they lost all the data...I should have it all backed up but it won't be back up until I get back from vacation (a couple of days)...

???
I am an optimist and this friday feature is just a tad weak. I have more sites in my Favorites. At least give us some astromech stats! That's the standard for filler friday features.

Ideas for future Friday Features:
- Update on the Economy
- Update on Pilot professions
- % by server in each faction
- % by server by faction that have achieved master pilot
- Backstory on the new Krayt Fighter
- DWB stats
- Number of Jetpacks crafted on each server
- Number of pieces of mandalorian armor manufactured on each server
- Server populations (probably never happen)
- CURB update (probably won't happen until just ebfore beta)
- Giving us the textures pictures for the sorsub yacht
- Species breakdown by server (now that there are 2 new species)
- CSR tickets by server
These are just a few ideas. Please feel free to use any/all of them. ![]()

A lot of the new loot is very creative. The Big radar screen and the technical consoles alone are worth the time spent on them. Not to mention the new JTL ships they added in as NPC craft, the space mission which rock, etc etc.
There are a LOT of new players in the game now because of JTL. Im one of them for the most part. This information is very useful to me so i can figure out how to play the game and become as jaded as all you whiners. Go play WoW already and get out. Busting thier chops for helping out new players accomplishes nothing and makes you all seem like ingrates. Its no wonder they dont like coming here and talking to anyone. Just a bunch of whiney fanboys. It isnt those of us who "kiss the dev's asses" that are the problem. Its every one of you who thinks that SOE personally is trying to screw you over.

I try to remain upbeat, but i have to say, with all honesty, that im not enthusiastic about this weeks friday feature...
If i might provide a little feedback-
Im tired about listeninging to people complain about how a weeks friday feature wasnt about whatever upgrade they wanted to hear about.
Im also tired, however, of seeing friday features that explain technical stuff or go on about whatever was in the last patch.
what i would like to see is stuff relating to in-game content.
back in the day, they used to post a comic to go with the story arc of the week, now im not even sure what part of the story we're in. empire rules everythnig, but jedi run rampant? im lost... but i digress
my point is: why not use the FFs to reshape the plotline of the game again? add interesting little story bits about how to get throw the DW, or why the rebels need to run the corvette missions, or any number of the active content material.
not only would it breathe a little more life, excitement, adventure (stuff a jedi doesnt crave) back into the galaxy, it would also stop people from complaining every time another week goes by without word of the CU/R/B.
