I can't wait for the SE. By what I hear ships will be fully customizable.
I want a B-Wing (my favorite ship) and a cargo cruiser like the Mellanium Falcon or even the Outrider!

I hope ships will be able to carry more then one person, hopefully atleast four. And I pray we can own multiple ships. (Wonder how much they will cost?)

1 u should be able to have 2 fighters and 1 transport


2 have a pilot proff. 4/4/4/4 transports/fighters/hyperspace/flight ability HOWEVER smugglers, bh, squad leaders should be able to fly alread (smugglers and nh can only do personal transports, only 5 people per ship, sl only fighters) I KNOW EVERY1 WILL BE PISSED THAT THEY HAVE TO GET A PILOT BUT NOT EVERY1 COULD FLy (acctualy every1 should be able to fly basic fighter ships, like republic blaster where u dont need cert. i.e. x-wing rep, tie imp, come up with a ship for nut.)\

Guild Ships.


Ships made for Guilds for the whole guild to fly in, and they can store their fighters/crafts there. Almost like the size of the Pillar of Autumn in Halo, maybe a little smaller.

I'm pretty sure the release date of the Space Expansion is going to be very tightly connected to the release date of Blizzard's World of Warcraft. SOE is going to want to hold on to its big draws until it can use them to divert attention away from the new kid on the block. Since WOW is only just now getting into open beta, I think we can safely assume that the SE is at least a few months off yet.


That said, we already know that the Space Expansion will include new playable races, new worlds to explore, and PROBABLY new professions as well (starship engineer? pilot?). We've also seen that some aspects of space flight are going to be real time and "twitchy", though to what degree remains unclear.


There was a poll way back when asking what playable races we would like to see in the SE, and it provided a list of potentials. Does anyone remember what those races were?


As for new planets in the expansion, I really don't know what to expect. Hoth seems like it would be pretty uninteresting. Having Imperials there at all would be against canon. Coruscant might be interesting, but I'm not familiar enough with the EU to say whether it's appropriate. What I'd really like to see is some of the racial homeworlds - Kashyyyk, Mon Calamari, Rodia, Ryloth, Dosha, Bothawui, etc. I think this would encourage some species-specific content development, which I really feel is sorely lacking in the game.

Crazyguy all thye need to do is have a Master Spaceship Engineer to build a capital ship. I twill require a lot of resources and a lot of money. And, yes a Star Destroyer can be flown by one person. provided all the controls necessary are close to each other. Turbolasers on a XStar Destroyer have auto-targeting I would love to see a lot of people flying them. But, they will be expensive maybe they should rais emoney on mission terminals so a lot of people can buy them. I would like to see a good 40% of the people in the game own capital ships and 60% of the players own fighters and then give pilots XP at 0 skill points but you have to get XP to be proficient at flying.

#1...Pilot Profession. Not everyone has the ability to fly a 50 ton piece of metal into outer space, so it should be limited to a seperate profession, with appropriate combat skills, mods and such.

#2...New Playable Races....PLEASE? Like Gammorians, Devaronians, Bith, Ithorians, Quorians, Weequay, Jawa even? Ugnauts etc...

#3...Give pistoleers the ability to double fist 2 pistols...Im a rifleman, so my oppinion on this isnt biased.

#4...New Critters! Either in space (lyke Mynocks and Space Slugs) or anywhere else...while yer at it, new mounts too, like Cu-Pa, Gurnasets,

#5...New Vehicles...like the Ubrikiian 9000, Skiff, Repulsor-board. Snowspeeder,

#6...New weapons and armor...nuff said

#7...Some new schematics for Droid Eng. Like a wikked long quest for the schematic for the IG88 droid, or another for Battle droid or Droideka...that'd be cool

#8...new planets? C'mon...a space expansion wouldnt be one without a few new planets, like Dagobah, Hoth, Coruscant, Rodia, Sullust, Bespin, Anoat, Ord Mandell?

#9...More cooler NPC quests for more cooler loot

Autotargeting Turbolasers? Star Destroyers? I think that might be a little out of any single persons league as far as the story goes...Who in their right mind would be able to fly a 1.6km long ship by themselves? It takes a crew of at least 60 just to make sure the engines are working properly, not to mention the others like the cafeteria ladies (which would be about 50) and janitors (100) cause the Imps likeeverything spic and span, This isnt even including combat personnel like anti-boarding parties, or the innumerable pilots that fly the tie fighters in the hangar bay, or the immense number of officers, commanders and the Captain who actually commands his thousands of subservient goons to turn the ship 3 degrees to starboard...


Now a YT-1300 or YT 2400 tramp freighter would be more like it, ora Z-95 headhunter, Y-wing, x-wing, a-wing or B-wing (even though they havent been introduced as far as the storyline, but that hasnt stopped the devs so far)...maybe some Mon-Calamari medium freighters? Tie Fighters? Tie Scouts, Gthroc Freighters, and maybe even Lambda Class Shuttles and Corellian Corvettes...thats more realistic than a Star Destroyer

i would just realy love the idea of being able to fly out of the atmosphere of a planet and plot in a course to say bespin (asuming its in the SE)


they have to implent that you are able to walk around inside your ship while its docked and while its in space


just imagina 2 freighters doing illegal buisnes they meet up inside and asteroid field and dock with eachother

and one crew boaring the other ship and doing buisnes and then being cought in the act by an imperial patrol just think of it

Ok guys, seriously, would the empire actually let one person, of little importance, command a star destroyer? It will NEVER,EVER happen. Not even a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. You have to be realistic, even if you are a declared Imp, you are still of little importance to the Empire in a whole. Just leave that stuff to the big boys. My realistic wish is that if we are Imp, that we can board the star destroyer, and do all kinds of neat stuff in it. Also, they should implement the kind of starbase like in the tutorial.


Come on Devs! Read this and answer some of our questions and take into account our ideas! We are the general public and if you don't want to blow it big time, you should take at least some of our advise!

There's alot of great ideas, but im little sceptical seeing some of these ideas untill SWG 2. That is, if there is ever going to be swg 2. Hope we get some answers from the dew's soon
