If you want to keep the crafters "in the loop" and keep the gap between the haves and the have-nots from getting wider, you HAVE to make the stuff truly rare and not farmable in any way.

There are many ways to do it, but please do it.

The vehicle is a one use schematic that requires a component from the Corvette. Considering how hard the Corvette is, I don't see many factory runs being made of it. Just one time creations.

The Berserker Rifle is a 3 use schematic and also requires a droped componentfrom the Corvette, so you will see more of these floating around and for sale, which makes sense because the schematic is only found on the imperial missions anyway so it lets every have an easier chance at getting a hold of one.

The rebel armor is just a plain drop, but since it is faction armor, only wearable while an overt rebel, its fine that it is just a drop since it is only found on the rebel missions anyway.

Are we ever going to see a friday feature again which actually gives us some new info about game-mechanics not documented anywhere else instead of these "look what cool stuff we added" PR-tool features week after week?

TH,

Any chance there is something in here that would explain a timer to a CH? That could be a reward, there is certainly no Dev who can do it. Maybe you could let some monkeys loose to type something up for us.

Sign for Hutt Faction here: Hutt Faction

Not against broad changes, just profession specific ones (read as CH) that go against what we've been told in the past.

We got the SEA usage write up a few weeks ago and you see how well that worked out:Nine months of questions, bug reports, debates, and pleas to the devs to answer basic questions about how SEAs were supposed to work, all ignored, so they could publish a Friday Feature that made it pretty clear that they don'thave a very good idea what is going on in their own game.

Please tell me that when I win and get the badge and the major reward of the new ride, that I can have it right there and then having to give my new schematic to a master artistian to make me oneto then onlylose my rights to my rewarded schematic, thats no use to me cause I cant afford to give up any skill points to make my new ride.

PSo please what I'm sayign it have the new ride an actual drop then schematic. Because then your not really beinf rewarded, the master artisain is being rewarded, and rewarded, and rewarded with every ones schematic and the ability to make more and more and u only get one.

This new vehicle schematic--I would suggest that it be given as a consistent, rather than random, reward.

I have a bad feeling about this nerf

So what about for those of us who have absolutely no use for a rifle, but could give it to a master rifleman friend, or sell it for a few credits. I'm a master fencer so a rifle means absolutely nothing to me except a possible sell/gift for friend.

The best way is to allow only the person whos mission it is to loot, in case you group with a ninja looter who you didnt know was, and to make the rewards only drop the first time you complete it.

That way you dont get ninja looters in peoples groups, which can out loot you, and you can do the missions as many times as you like without getting several rewards.

I would rather have you get something you won't use occassionally than have someone be able to farm endless amounts of them to twink PA friends and such. If SOE does not make things very hard to farm, people WILL farm them forever. This will unbalance the game even more and result in massive numbers of these instanced corevettes bringing everything to a crawl.

That's my theory and I am sticking to it.

How big are the corridors in the corvette? Will my kimo fit? is there any point in taking a ch? with all the bugs associated with ch as it is, i am assuming that a ch would really be baggage.

You guys really need to proof-read before you post stuff like this. Yes, I think this looks like one cool "dungeon", but how hard would it be to put some polish on your copybefore posting it? Here are just a couple of examples:

"Depending on which quest players take will depend on which objectives must be achieved while on the Corvette."

Thisshould probably read, "The objectives that must be achieved while on the Corvette are determined by which quest the player takes." Perhaps even something like this:"Not only are there nine different quests to get you up to the Corvette, each of these quests has its own mission objectives after you have boarded the Corvette."

And this set of fragments is virtually unintelligible:

Lt. Sabol, an Imperial Officer who sees no reason Rebel officers should be allowed to live. A woman, a rarity among Imperial officers, she will be cold and ruthless. She will not tolerate failure.

Her current problem is that she's in charge of gathering information for her superiors and her underlings have proven useless time and time again. What she needs is someone to steal rebel documents for her.

My sixth-grade daughter writes better than this. The first sentance doesn't even qualify assuch. At a bare minimum,it needs some sort of verbin the main clause. The rest of that paragraph and the next seem to be someone's hastily scribbled notes, rather than an explanation of an "Assassin Mission". Which does she really want? A dead rebel officer or someone to steal rebel documents?

After reading this fine bit of butchery, I gave up. Please, do yourselves a favor and hire someone with at least passing familiarity with the English language and its grammar. I am certain that a large corporation like SOE can afford to have at least one person with aliberal artsdegree on staff. Perhaps, since you are in the business of telling stories, you could actually hire an editor to read and correct everything that will be published, whether it appears here, or actually within the game. I am certain that had you taken such steps, we would not have had to put up with errors like this, and the legendary "You hit a piket protector but him evades." Honestly, it almost seems as if you are trying to achieve an "all your base are belong to us" level ofinfamy. Maybe this text should read somethinglike:

"Imperial Officer Lt. Sabol sees no reason Rebel officers should everbe allowed to live. Her experience as a female officer, a rarity in the Empire, has taught her the benefits of cold and ruthless action. She will not tolerate failure. So, despite the repeated failings of her underlings, she is determined to gather the information her superiors demand. She must find someone competent and resourceful enough to steal therebel documentsshe needs."

If this were just a matter of theFriday Feature, or some in-game combat spam, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, but I think this isjust the mostvisible symptom ofa far worse disease that is killing this game. The problem is not that you have no one who knows how to properly form grammatically correct English. The problem is that you don't care enough to bother with it, and I see this attitude in virtually every aspect of the game. Other than inartwork, I see the efforts of a team that strives not for perfection, but for mediocrity. Sadly, when you strive for mediocrity, you almost always achieve it.

While I certainly don't have first-hand knowledge of what is going on behind the scenes there, I think that this "striving for mediocrity" is likely not the fault of the devs, but of the suits who make the call on how many resources can be devoted to this game. I think you are forced into "striving for mediocrity" because there is no time/manpower for anything else. Regardless of whether that is true, I am afraid it means a very bleak future for SWG. The space expansion won't help. It may bring people in for a while, but it can't fixthe cancer eating atthis game, and for that I am truly sad.

We have a date that we can kill a few things yet? Two weeks ago it was in 2 weeks, nad now it is once again in a few weeks. What gives?

I would also like to say to those that are so afraid of those of us that will farn the componets or farm anything in it... you are also capable of doing everything we do... you just lack the skill/ time/ proffshions/ PA/ Friends/ and or pick and choose from those. This game is made to be social. So get in a PA .. make some friends, learn your proffshion, get one that you can do things with or works well with others, allot yourself enough time to really enjoy the good things about this game and stop your darn complaining. Most of are sick of it, just grow up or stop playing the game so the rest of us can read these boards and really only have to deal with people like me that can't spell!

So, the three missions we do for the NPCs... do we have to be in the group we wish to go to the Corvette for that? Or can we do all three missions seperatly then meet up in the group and go to the Corvette?
