You are no better than the one you insult.
Point being, let my template alone and I'll let yours alone.

Main difference is that I strike from below, not above.

That's a major difference.

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Okay, let's all do like her! Everyone respec to a temp they know is worthless and then come here and complain when other people are smart enough to dabble, get what they need, and move to another profession to make a decent temp.

Honestly I have met 2 types of people in this game.

#1. People who could care less about the mechanicsof the game, they just want the best. So they build a template to meet that need. If change comes they adapt and move on to the next best. These are usually labeled FOTM. I have no problem with these people as I have AADD (Adult Attention Deficit Disorder) and bore very easily. I need stuff now.

#2. The people I strive to be like. These are people that take the time to look deeper into the game. They could care less about being the best. They bought the game to be a certain template like the Smugglers, Entertainers, Crafters, Commandos, Carbineers, my god I could go on. These people step into our broken little world and try and make it better.

So while you and I run past them in the latest fashion, swinging the latest weapon, lets not forget that these people help give this game depth and substance.

What is the point of having multiple templates if everyone ends up with the same one? Or in this case the same basic few?

People like you will never improve this game.

And people like you will? Before this thread, I had some respect for you from all your informative posts, but geez. Whine about dabblers, when you are indeed one, and someone who doesn't dabble is just stupid.

I am not a dabbler. I am a double master template who cannot heal. I did not pick 0400 LS, even if that would improve my template by far.

And no matter how much information I push to this forum, it's all drenched in BHvsJedi posts anyway. I have all right to be insane.

Oh and to the point of the post. I hate dabbling. However they made to many things essential, in to many different trees and not enough skill points to grab them. I am a partial dabbler, so I am guilty, but would gladly trade it out for some real depth at master level. Like a master should.

I accept the kind of dabbling that accepts someone retreive 25-50% of a profession if they pick 1 skilline.

I accepttemplates with asingle skilline as long as it's as useful as the other three skillines of the same skillset.
I do not accept the kind of dabblers who whine if any noteworthy and strong ability is moved to the masterbox.

And I have nothing wrong with either of these. Frankly, I usually tell people to do the temp they enjoy the most, reguardless of what it is.

But I have a problem with people who take up a gimped them then complain about it. You can be an Ent/Jedi hybrid for all I care, but don't complain about your temp and how people are better than you because of it.

So we should accept broken parts of the game becouse we can pick something else?

What is it about dabbling that you dislike? Not just dabbling itself, surely, or are you just as insane as the OP? Dabbling is a great part of this game and if you're just upset about losing 5 points of something like the OP, don't take it out on a great feature of the game. It's nice to be able to be a part-architect and part combatant, or to have portions of brawler and your choice of ranged. It's one of the defining things of the game. If you fail to use your brain to distinguish between dabbling and people taking what's hot now, at least /try/ to make the distinction. Dabbling is a good thing in this game. Balance issues only arise when a particular skill makes up the majority of the effectiveness of a mastery. This whole thread is just the OP being upset about losing 5 points and choosing (choosing!) a template that isn't that great and thinking she has the right to lambast and madly strike at anyone around her like a snake in a corner.

[Edit: ] I'm reporting myself for this post. Too much flaming, but it's what I want to post.

I am 1h becouse I like 1h lightsabers more than 2h.

Also, as per description, 1h offers me more defense (blind) than fotm. I meant 2h.

I didn't say that. There is a difference between suggestions for how to improve a profession and whines about how others are better than you. You are whining about dabblers in this posts. They can't help how the game works. If they can get a decent temp they enjoy without any masteries, so be it. You have no right to complain about dabblers, as it's the Devs that made this game and not them.
