Thread: A New Player Guide or random tips for beginners
Some more useful keys:
Ctrl-Shift-TAB: find matches for partial command string, for instance: /flushg shows the exact spelling of that long command...
Ctrl-F1 ... Ctrl-F6: switch to hotkey panel#
Ctrl-F11: previous hotkey panel
Ctrl-F12: next hotkey panel
Ctrl-R: = /reply
Ctrl-T: = /tell
/tt = "Tell targeted player"
Ctrl-1: = /target me
Ctrl-2...9 = target group member #
Believe me, it pays to learn all these hotkeys and then some more.
Somebody should make an exhaustive list of all these...link, anyone?

I'm sure there is a list somewhere, but here are some of the other important ones
CTRL-\ (backslash) = /peace - to stop fighting
CTRL-BACKSPACE = clear your combat queue - cancels any actions in your combat queue that you haven't done yet. Good if you hit a certain attack too many times, or if you change your mind and want to do something else, or if you need to heal and can't wait for all the commands to go through.

Just type /tip name amountofcredits example, /tip Bob 10000
You can also select them and then simply type /tip amountofcredits (Make sure you have the right person selected!)
Adding to that, If you don't have the credits on you, you can also tip directly from the bank! You just have to include the word "bank" at the end of your line. For example:
/tip Bob 10000 bank
will send 10000 credits to Bob via the bank. There is a 5% surcharge when you tip via the bank, so it normally isn't worth it to send large amounts of money this way.
I've heard that all defensive modsare capped at 125. I'm not sure if this is 100% correct, but it is as far as I know. If anybody knows for sure, please post here.

Does anyone know of a listing of skill caps? I'mnew to SWGand I've heard that certain skills like ranged defense were capped to prevent stacking beyond reason. I was just wondering if there was a thread or site that would have this information. I checked around these forums a bit, but couldn't find anything. I'd appreciate any and all assistance. I don't want to waste too many skill points.
As a current and long time EQ player, I am a dedicated /assist user. Is there any /assist macro for SWG? So far I have been able to get by without it, but it would make targeting the same critter so much easier while grouping. Have only been playing a few weeks now, and have only grouped 1 or 2 times, so it hasnt really come up .
Thank you

Yeah, the command is /assist.
