Could you nerf me? sounds hot.
ps, don't know if you heard it or not TH, but base times are still migrating. Wanted to make sure you knew about that one since it is a new bug that just poped up seven months ago.

And that's exactly the reason that Death Decay should be temporarily suspended until the "hole is plugged
TH, many thanks for setting an issue straight with a direct, 'this is how it is, honest' post. I'd gleefully slaughter small, furry woodland creatures for more of those.
oh and HardwiredXMan, you look a bit odd with that foot in your mouth.

Total crap.....as far as not wanting to get hit for full damage because of some armor hole.
Look....no armor in this game protects you 100% even without backpacks, rings, belts, bandoliers...etc.
there are soft spots in any kind of armor a person wears simply because you have to be able to bend, twist, turn your head and such. There are natural soft spots there. I'm sure that in the game this concept was looked at by the devs. you get hit between where the bracer and the bicep connects (where it allows your arm to bend)....you take unblocked damage. You get hit between the area where the chest plate and the leggings connect, you take unblocked damage.
Now this has a very low chance of happening. Maybe it happens too much, maybe it doesn't.....that's something to look at.
But As far as armor goes, the only real way to be totally protected from damage is to have every single spot of the body covered, which no armor in this game does that. To have a suit of armor 100% cover all of the body, you need a suit of armor that is powered to allow the suit to bend, even then itwill probablybe to heavy to wear. It can't have areas where the armor connects. THe armor can'tcome in pieces where you can put one part on andnot another.....this kind of armor will havenatural holes.
Armor in this game is similar to the armor knightshad. They couldhave a suit of knight armor on and still get killed by a sword penetrating under the arm, under the neck, in the waist area (ok so they died easy in those days...lol...but you take a sword under the arm pit and lets see how well you can swing that arm afterwards).....they could also be injured at theknees, neck andwrist....
Thunderheart:
One thing I've noticed about this Armor "hole" and I've net ever seen anyone post about it (so far). The main thing I've noticed is it seems anytime a NPC uses a "special" shot like chatged shot, eye shot, take your pick from the various different ones. Thosetype of shots are the onesthat seem to bypass the armor all together. So really it may not be an actual "hole", but it seems that the system doesn't take in account for the players armor when the NPC uses a special shot from a ranged or melee weapon.

imo they should put in more holes. 80% resist to everything? why not just increase the rich players ham to 8000? say if your bank account goes over 1 million, you automatically get 8k ham. i mean why beat around the bush?
Rich players are usually rich because they earnt it. So if their rich enough to buy a new set of composite armor every now and then, then good for them.
Before you say anything I'm not incredibly rich, I have around 200K which is nice but i'm no millionaire, and the money I do have was earned by me through doing business with players and missions. So if I can afford it why not?
I don't know your financial status but surely you would buy the best stuff if you could afford it?

I was hopeing that Wookiee Life Day was a mini-game for wookiees. The wookiees got a big mechanized battle suit, and they could go around and kill other players. The wookiee that scored the most points for killing players gets a prize. I would accept that there would be some hole in that mechanized battle suit, and am still waiting for that Wookiee Life Day to happen.
