I have to say at first I was excited, finally a guide for BE's, turth shed on speculation and the dev's viewpoints and what is needed to make them. Printed most of it and didnt have time to read.


Well you can imagine my vast disappointment when half of this stuff was pasted info on BE threads, I think the only dev input was some background story writing on some of these chapters and even then some looked familiar.


Not to mention was NO mention of how to get the combat levels you want and what really effects what.



I am sure some hard work went into copying and pasting but I fail to see where designers actually added much except maybe a few blurps.


But then again , this game never was strong on giving us any helpful info, except maybe the armor guide eons ago

This whole thing is just pathetic. Learn to not promise people things if you know you're only going to disappoint them. Or at least put some effort into your copouts.

i wholeheartedly agree with my fellow BEs and i'm abslutely disappointed


does the BE developer know the missing informations about CL, sample quality and special attacksat all or why won't he give them to us??

Well i must agree with the majority of other BE's tosay that is was very disapointing guide and most of is just what i read on other Be forums. I opened a holo which told me to do Be and once i finished it was hooked on the prof. I bought another account to keep the prof as my original account is going for jedi. What we need is a guide to Creature Levels and if possible what where and how to find research data to improve our products. Please don't leave it at this and give us the information and / or clues to improve our craft .

i never thought id say this,but right about now WoW is looking pretty good.after having been a loyal paying customer to sony for the last 5 years or so,in rapidly losing faith with these people.i was always one to stick up for the devs,but man,this is an all time low here.



im not a BE,but even to me this is just wrong.id give you guys at SOE a shovel,but you seem to be doing just fine digging your own hole.im sorry but i just dont have any more reason to stick up for you guys lately.



you guys have taken star wars and turned in to a 3 ring circus.

I'm sorely disappointed, TH. when hearing about the proposed official bio-e guide, the LAST thing i would have expected was to have SOE simply copy and paste a player's guide from the forums. shame on you. you guys should have generated your own guide for us, with some of the bits filled in that we still dont know about. ya'll just lost a point, in my book.

I wonder if SOE knows that plagerism is a bad thing, they even have software that detects it, when a document is compared to existing sources and websites. I hope that future FF are not as useless.





I personally like the fact that they made a Friday Feature that states that they really have no idea how their own system works. Because they posted it, most players who haven't tried BE won't realize it's the same info as the FAQs stickied on the BE forums, and will assume it's newly written, OFFICIAL information.

So they basically officially stated they have no idea how CL works.

This is probably the single reason why when a BE creates a clone, it doesn't tell you the CL while you are experimenting on it, and you only know when it finally comes out. Basically, because they have no clue what it's going to be.

Here I was, expecting to finally get some solid, official information about the profession I have been a master of with my second account since November, and I get the same info I've known for months rehashed for me.

I realize a lot of the fun of BE is being a scientist and figuring out the best formulas for clones and the like, but seriously, can't we get the designer who MADE the system to take an hour and write up a report on how it is supposed to work? Didn't such a report exist when they did the revamp on the cloning system, so they could pass this info along to the other devs who might just be affected by a completely new BE system? Or did you just say "Hey, go to town, make it work however you want and keep us in the dark, just so long as it gets done in time for the next publish. No, we don't need details, just make fancy pets!"

BohoJones, the BE guide was not dropped in favor of any other feature.It requires more work and the time of certain designers, who have had very little free time. Ask Thunderheart, I have been harping on about how we need to put up that guide every week. I apologize to you that it is taking so long. All I can say is that it is one of the highest priority Friday Features in my mind and it is finallyprogressing.

Notice the part I marked in bold? I agree lots of work went into the BE information, and the people mentioned in TH's summary deserve the kudos, but I can't find anything in there that seems to come from a designer. Especially galling are lines such as "not entirely sure how the algorithim works"....? So where does the designer input reveal itself? This Feature can be called a "guide", but by no means is it an advanced guide, especially when so much of it seems to be summed up by "we think possibly maybe this is why this effects that when doing the other thing".


I stand by my earler conviction of no confidence in the game developers.
