xp loss to a BH is double their mission reward.
the price on you is relevent to your skill points in jedi.
the formula is. mission price = skill points in jedi (not including FS skill) x 1000
for exampleif you have all novice boxes, thats 5 boxes each costing 8 skill points, so the price on you would be(5x8) x 1000 = 40,000 credits. if a BH killed you at this point you would loose twice that amount in xp, so you would loose 80k xp.
If you die, dont clone. try and get a doc to resurect you. and try and do the hero of tat quest with both your jedi and your alt, so you have more than one hero ring.

something like
bounty hunter death blow===
number of skill points invested in jedi ... times.... 2000
cloning ===
teir 1: 15k
teir 2: 50k
teir 3: 100k
teir 4: 200k
and I think like you loose 13 for novice, 5k when padawan but no skills, and 4.5k before your a padawan but working on your quests

There are some "honorable" BH out there but the majority of the ones I've seen hunting Jedi do it for one reason, and one reason only: to make the Jedi lose significant exp.
There is no real challenge when a "stacker" takes a mission on a lowish level Jedi. If they Jedi cant run away they die.
The payout is not that great. In the time it takes to track down a Jedi and the cost in foods etc is factored in, its much quicker to gain cash by regular missions.
So why do they do it?? Because its fun for them to mess up someone else's day.

hmm but what does it take to regain the xp? an hour? 45 mins?
depends on the level I guess...
I hunt not for the profit not for the xp loss I hunt b/c it gets the heart pumping and a thrill that I have never had before...
grinding is boring and mind numbing *shrugs* why I am still 18 boxes away from paddy on my other account..

I agree with both you and the bh, the only person that can say it doesnt matter is a jedi, but the xp loss is nothing
Its a punishment so it will always be bad, i lost 440k (ish) yesterday and i dont care, thats like 2 hours work...

The 1 star bandit swooped through here sure enough.
I can understand 1 starring a BH' opinion but why Weaponsmith_Drake? What did he do? Was it cause he let out the big secret on how easy it really is to earn it back? Sad.

Thats exactly it, once you get tier 4 skill you should be making 200k an hour... I knew a knight that had -4 mil exp and he got it back within a week, I could be on 0 exp, die and clone and still be on + exp in 3 hours...

Lol i dont care, there seems to be a constant forum war between jedi and bh and everyone is trying to get one up, on this matter the jedi are wrong, instead of 1 starring why not disagree with me, instead of just 1 starring...

Well as soon as all the other profs get weapons with no resists, avoid incap etc etc some of us will actually care about your xp loss.
Jedi have abilities none of us get just because they did more grinding.
They monopolize high end content.
When they template they will be forced to hunt other characters to advance their toons (hypocrits to the one who whine about hunting others)
They get a free toon.
Im glad they make you guys work for it, if it was easy we would all have Jedi.
IMO they should bring back permadeath, xp loss isnt enough.
And btw "stacker" put all their xp into stacking defs. We have to spend it on BH. I find it funny jedi are sooooo skert of a little tkm....

I play both sides, Jedi and BH. Been BH since December 2002.
Honestly, when i track a mark, if he/she is low level... i incap them and abort mission. No-kill. For me its the fun of the hunt.
Only exception being, if i incap.. say a few words out of comraderie (sp?) and take off, then the player says some harsh sh8t or is just an overall dunce, i ll come back later and finish the job.
