^^Lol exactly, had trouble with that last time.

And Romanbeef, that's not it.

Picture the Jedi gaining system as a sifter. The sifter used to have fairly big holes, only allowing the best, most dedicated players to not get sifted out. The sifter now has very, very small holes. The sifter only sifts out the laziest of players, and you're left with a few gems and a whole lot of junk.

I don't think that the jedi population has exponentially grown since the CU hit. What I think is that alot of non-jedi have left the game. The jedi population tends to be pretty dedicated to the game so any time you see a drop in the non-jedi player base, it will look like more jedi are around than before.

Instead of trying to cripple other players for your benefit, why not let them play the same game that you're playing? If they are willing to through the grind to unlock their jedi, I say good for them.

Personally I'd rather see 100,000 jedi per server than no server at all.

When will all these jedi population control threads end... if you didnt realize already... Jedi has become a major part of SWG, its the end content of this game at all.

I've had my Jedi since november of 03, and while it was nice for people to be able to point and oogle me because I was rare, the grinding professions system was NEVER difficult. You did not work harder then everyone else to get your Jedi, unless you have also done a Jedi in the new system you really do not know how difficult or long the process is. I've done it, and I would take the mastering professions way for ease every time.

Just because we got into the game earlier then others does not make us special. The only way to slow the Jedi population without killing the game entirely is to provide another route for people to play the "end game" of SWG, probably through the introduciton of other elite classes.

i love how the hologrinders don't realize the highlightedabove and whine about too many jedi now. i could of had a jedi quicker grinding professions than iwould have doing the village.

the REAL reason why your seeing so many jedi now is that long time players have nothing else to do in the game except become jedi. you can thank soe for this because of the lack of content over 2 years.

it was inevitable that the game would eventually get overrun with jedi. if you didnt realize this than your a moron. dont like, go play another game. what a god damn waste of forum space this thread is.

What I was saying though is if you want a new harder system and you unlocked in the easy one you better be willing to go back and do it in the harder one

QFE!

i bet if soe gave these whiners this option to help stem jedi's, you'd see how many of them would choke and say no leave it as is.

Confusing dedicated with powergamer is always the norm.

Just because someone could buff and progress thru combat professions at the rate of one or two a week and 3rd party macro the crafting ones does not make one dedicated.

All that made for was a boring game and a ruined economy.

Correct.

For anyone that likes to read the first post and automatically assume certain things, please read my other posts and realize that I am no quest Jedi. I hologrinded.

I agree that there are too many jedi.

But I also agree that we shouldn't take it away from anybody, it's their right to have it, and achieve it.

What I think should be added, give Jedi a reason to hide, and not be so open.

What I think the Devs SHOULD of done, NOT tell ANYONE EVER how to become a Jedi. It was nice when it was that way,

Jedi was actually special, now it's just another basic proffesion to me.

Seriously, I'd say Mandolorian Armor could sell on Ebay more than ANY jedi account.

^EXACTLY what I was thinking. Or at least not told anybody how the new system works.

I get a laugh out of every time someone says the hologrind is easier than the village.

A. Not as many people used 3rd party macros as you think.
B. I don't know what you're taking that makes you think that tossing grenades at a bol surrounded by other players that can't attack you.
C. Long? You can't possibly be talking about the grenade throwing. That's like 2 weeks at the very most. And you CAN'T be talking about the phases. Please tell me you're not talking about the phases. That's called WAITING. You don't even need to have your computer on for that. That's like Sony giving you a complimentary 3rd party macro. The fact that WAITING was made part of the new system of getting Jedi is funny to me.

The worst part of it all is the fact that the new Jedi aren't being scared off. They just haul their 1337 butts over to Kashyyyk and finish Jedi in a few weeks.
