No, to do that you'd actually have to be rebel. Your best bet would be to find a rebel Smuggler and buy the fp from him.

Tell them you're a smuggler AND you want to go rebel. That'd get you a better price from a lot of people.

Unless it's been changed in the CU you only need less then +200 Imperial to get the Rebel recruiter to talk and sell you faction.

I have recently grinded one of my many toons out to be a master smuggler. I am getting fp at 80 cpu with a ent buff it appears to be 65 cpu. however i see some master smuggs selling it for as low as 45 cpu. how are they profiting and what am i missing?

They're faction grinding (most likely in JTL). Simple as that

More likely AFK farming the Gungan VS Imperial POI or one of the other faction POI's with weak NPC's +fast respawn.

I think it might be in the FAQ but i'm not sure one way or the other personally

Might be as it may. Could be that it's in the faq...but I don't read them darn things, takes to much of my time, so I can't say as I know for sure. Might be that if you were to read that stickied faq thingy, you could let all the rest of us know what you find out.
Or, ya'll might want to talk to a smuggler in game...most of us are willin' to discuss those types of questions proper like when they be addressed to our toons.

Alright, there was nothing about it in the FAQ and I asked 5 smugglers in game and none of them knew. You'd figure this would be such a simple question. Oh well I don't really care.

bio-linked weapons can be sliced so I don't see why armor wouldn't be able to be sliced.
