Thread: Tuesday Tips September 14th Vendor Search Find anything and everything you want!
why would anyone spend money on a crystal from a vendor without knowing the quality first?
i think this is pretty important, because the only way to find out the quality is to email the vendor owner, ask them what quality it is, if theyre not a jedi they cant tell you, so they have to pull it from vendor, check with a jedi, then relist it, and email me the quality.
thats a big stuff around.
especially now, that crystal are barely dropping, i think many would like to have this working, and im surprised its never come up, (at least not to my knowledge)
and also, as someone mentioned earlier, there should be a way to seperate the crystals from color to damage.
Actually System, I use the price list in commonly produced items to get where I want to look. For example, E11mk2 carbines are no less than5 pages on my server. Since I can't sort by item stats, I sort by price and start at the bottom of the list and work up. I know that the E11 I want to buy isn't going to be sold for 20k, it's going to be sold for millions, so I start there.
Also, the bazaars are always in the NPC city banks and the banks all use the same shape/layout, so they are easy to find if you can't find a bazaar terminal closer, just open the ctl-m map, scroll out if you don't see it right off (ctrl-mouse wheel up/down) and head towards it.
The shrewd merchants are getting crytals checked by friendly "jedi" before listing and they are adding the quality to the listing. The SWG version of having a sign in the display case that says "cubic zirconium" or "Diamond". ![]()
One thing I would like to see is an option to add comma's every 3 places in the prices. With the nasty sans-serif fonts in game, it's far too easy to misread 0's and spend more than you thought without counting every place.

There are many good posts on SEA's. Just search.
TH - Please note: I'm a returning player and heard about the vendor search, but couldn't make it work for me. I've been playing SWG since day 1, except for my break during the last 6 months. So I'm familiar with the UI's.
I did not see a vendor search Tab, or at least did not figure out how to make it work. Is this feature in the Holocron? Maybe a little help button on the Bazaar UI would make a big difference.

There is a great waypoint feature though. On the main window, you can click the button that sayd "Create Waypoint" so you can find the vendor
It would be more useful if it named the waypoint after the item you are looking for so I don't end up with 10 waypoints called "waypoint to vendor" in my datapad.

Always double check the calendar before posting. Tuesday's tip should have come out on the 13th...otherwise it would be "Wednesday's Wacky Info" or something.

If you are searching for a named resource (say, link-steel aluminum), or resources with certain stat minumums, pack a lunch.
You'll have to wait and view the downloaded data forevery single listingof thegeneral type (aluminum) thatyou're looking for.
I love the vendor search feature, but please add some decent filters.
That's why I use swgcraft.com. I basically pulled ALL the resources that I useand copy/pastethem into an excel file, that way I can sort by the stats that I need.
On a side note, I love the vendor search. I have saved so much time and money using it. For example, I got a Weaponsmith toolset for 500 credits when everyone else was charging 100K.
Yeah, I agree. SWGCraft.com is a life-saver for finding resources that are available for harvesting.
It's not much help, though, if you're looking for resources that are available for purchase from other players.
As it is now, buying resources is almost (if not more) tedious than harvesting them.
The bazarre is much better, now with vendor search, but it still needs a good deal of reworking.
