Lol, I think the Devs have artificial intelligence.
but they won't use the same techniques to make a more immersive SWG artificial intelligence based upon a players experiences.

I believe range is like 500K / day on same person.
I didnt hear any banned players so far, if limit was too low, think about AFK entertainers

You know All this fear of being banned can easily be cured by an annoucement from the devs on what to do if you get caught up in this dupe credit thing. But as usaul there is just silence, I've played alot of games online and read alot of forums for those games and never had i seen such sorry excuse for any kind of PR as is with SWG i'm sorry but there PR flat out is the worst i have ever witnessed. EVER!

LOL, im betting younthat SOE-collector is a scam.
The poster could have made a char named that and gotten all the creds.
A form of SWG bankrobbery.

Uggg! Finally!... I'm reading along, wondering when someone is going to say the obvious here. Thank you Abe.
Yeah seriously.....im not suggesting that our poster is a scammer, but how can people trust this post. Wouldnt SOE have made this statement themselves, if they had made a char.

The problem is the login console states something like : "You should REFUSE to accept /tips from someone you don't know....". OK, devs, please tell me how I refuse a tip, huh?
I've already taken my name off the "Search" lists (I'm overt 100% of the time) due to the Jedi scourge, which had the impact of also removing me from being found by anyone wanting to buy anything from me. I have a house out in the middle of the Tattooine wilderness where few people can find it. I rarely even go into the cities anymore except to heal any combat damage and fatigue (finding an entertainer is very difficult these days), and now I can't even run the risk of passing by a seemingly innocent player anywhere!
Guess I'll just run NPC Imp Faction missions out in the middle of nowhere for a while and not talk with anyone ever again. Nice game we have here lately.

You asked my question before I could! How can they justify banning someone for accepting a /tip when there is no (apparent) way to refuse? This occured to me a few weeks back when my dancer was beingplagued by a guy. He was bank tipping me like 25 or so credits at a time and asking for lap dances. His behevior was in character and the player was not trying to actually harass me,he was justrp'ing a jerk. I wanted to refuse histipsIC,but didn't know how....So, I gave him a lap dance....girl's gotta eat!

Not all of this is done for stoargae I put items on my vendor with instructions on how to place special orders as the name of the item and price it like that. I took them all off and I am not takeing special orders now.

While I object to the way they ban innocent recipients of funds, I have to say in this case it serves them right. Some people abuse vendors - they are meant for sales, not for storage! If you list something for 999999999 credits on a vendor you are making an offer to sell it (whether you like it or not) and because only a duper would have that kind of money, you are consciously choosing to sell it to any duper who accepts the offer of sale. Such people are giving the Devs very good justification for a ban, if you ask me.
SOE is making a big mistake banning every innocent who receives duped funds. In the real world, one must meet two criteria to be prosecuted for a crime: Culpability and Intent. One must knowingly and willingly engage in an activiy that they know to be a crime. The innocent people who are banned here do not meet these criteria - they have no way of knowing these funds are duped, and the act of making a sale or receiving a tip is not, in and of itself, any sort of offense.
If SOE is going to come down hard, they have a responsibility to eliminate these dupers and their duped funds before they reach innocent unknowing customers.
Another way to do it would be to make somthing cheap, or offer 1 unit of meat for 1 cred, then add description of how to order and ask for ppl not to purchase that item.

I'm sorry, but this is the same kind ofnarrow-minded thinking that in being displayed by SOE right now. There are many other reasons besides storage that vendors place items for sale at 99999999 credits. A lot of times it's a way to post a message for shoppers to read & get information that has no other way to be presented to them. Sometimes vendors will place custom madeorders for specific players this way also, so they won't get scooped up by a random shopper, etc.
