Tracking a Bounty across water
Today's tip is for all of you Bounty Hunter's out there and it comes from Katalisha.
When tracking NPC Bounties, sometimes the waypoint spawns in the water
HERE IS HOW TO AVOID MARKS SPAWNING IN WATER:
- When you arrive at the planet where your mark is hiding out, look at your planetary map (CTRL-V).
- If the mark's waypoint is over water - go make a cup of coffee (after you send out your seeker droid).
- Come back after you've made your coffee to find the waypoint has moved several hundred meters
- Go kill your mark.
- Loot your mark.
- Drink the coffee.

You guys are not hunted downrepeatilywhile being patient. I cant really play outside Kashyyyk or in Space while waiting. It's said tracking works on Mustafar. Makes it kinda pointless for me to purchase that expansion since I wont be able to play it.
MsNil, I don't disagree with your points, per se, but your methods. If you honestly think coming onto a thread about NPC Bounty Missions and grabbing a soapbox about healer changes and whether or not you're going to buy ToOW does anything usefull, I believe you're wrong. All you're doing here is acting like a lot of people on the Jedi forums that are much less mature. Rangers waited for 2 years to have any feedback, and we didn't resort to plugging our issues on every developer post we could find. The problems with healer are legitimate, but they are not on-topic for this thread. The only thing you are doing is making LESS people want to listen to the problems, because despite your legitimate points, you're coming off as a sterotypical Jedi whiner, unable to seperate posts that need to talk about Jedi issues from those where Jedi issues have no legitimate case. This is the latter. It's a tip for hunting NPCs that are related to BH missions. There are no NPC Jedi Healer boss marks, thus no need to address the problems with healer in this thread.
To solve a lot of these problems they should introduce a increase in skill points for Ranger, Squad Leader, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Combat Medic and Commando then make it so that they can not be combined. Then make them on par as being the preminate skill set; with a combination of ranged or melee and some medic/doctor too make a superior healer with the Combat Medic skill set. They do this with Jedi, and over all it has a lot of deversity, with Defender subtypes being preminate among the jedi. As for Jedi being less mature I can see that there are a lot of people among our ranks that have the maturity of a new grape. I think a lot of the above would sove the profession issue, maybe introduce another 3 skill sets, Elite Lancer, Ground Guard, Crimson Guard. Make those nuetral, imperial, Alliance, then you should solve a lot of the issues involved in the imbalances caused by the unfished profession system within SWG.

Tuesday tip, or "work-around" for bad coding?
You decide....
There is no reason that BH marks need to spawn at every possible WP on a given map. Put 100 *VALID*WP'sscattered around the map for each planet, randomly assign the mark to one of those of 100, and call it good. That's perfectly within the "limits of the technology".
or they could implement water combat (ie while mounted, non-energy weapons, etc)
How about "re-implement"? For a long time we could attack off the backs of creature mounts (but never off bikes). This made it easier to get missions done. Wecould only use the "/attack" command, and no specials. But we *could* use any weapon we were certified for!
It always seemed odd, though, that while we could not attack while swimming, the mobs (humanoid types) seemed to raise up out of the water to at least only waist deep and shoot at us.
This ability probably ended when they removed the "/attack" command from the game.
Voila, programming to the rescue!!
