Your views are flawed and heavily stereotypical. Being handed anything in this game for no work is something that I am against and you are promoting. And no, I have no interest in playing Jedi. So, no I do not wish for credit to be given where credit is not due. If credit is deserved, then by all means. And not working toward Jedi should not grant you credit toward Jedi.

Just a sec RTL3, how can you say i'm trying to hide? do you know me? do you think you know me?
I don't want ANY handouts, I don't even give a fcuk about the free paintings and ships (hell, I gave my painting away for god's sake)
If you'd read the entire post then you would realise that I posted this to see what would happen.........And as I thought, it got jumped on.
People wouldn't give a flying turd if the dev's turned around and said "OK everyone who changes professions in the next three weeks will get the first 4 boxes of their new one filled for free" in fact, for the most part, i think people would welcome it.
As soon as it comes to "JEDI" everyone gets defensive and it all goes up in the air, this post just proves something I have thought for a long time.......This game IS Jedi-crazy, and it causes more arguments and animosity than anything else.
As for "earning things" I have earned every credit and item I have ever had in SWG, as for "earning Jedi" well, hologrinding completely ruined this game anyway, and people have the audacity to call hologrinding to Jedi "Hard work"..............Get real.............pulling a 12 hour shift is hard-work, painting a masterpiece is hard work, playing a game is NOT hard work.

And you said the word "poll" in your subject line. Do not be surprised or act snobby as you did because people do not agree with you.

1 branch unlock for 2 months of subscription. That would mean 1-year players would get 6 branches unlocked.
My little SWG biography:
Started game in august 03 as a wookiee, loved it. 4 months later: Do holos. 2 months later, wookiee's getting owned in PvP and PvE. Start campaigning vocally for Wookiee armor. No response for months on end. Delete wookiee with 16 professions mastered after dying 4 times in a row in first room of geonosian dungeon as a multiple combat master (Fencer, Rifle, Defense line of Pike, defense line of TKA) wearing PSG, with full buffs. Create human, have fun again. 2 days later devs announce wookiee armor. Scream and tear out hair. See wookiee armor blows, bandage scalp. 4 months later, real wookiee armor is finally added. Find credit is being given for mastered professions. Scream and tear out hair.
That brings us to this point in time. I'd really like to regrow my hair, throw me a bone here, please.

I have taken several breaks from the game and thus didnt receive the 1 year reward either, the CSR mailed me saying it had to be 6consecutive months of subscripion (CONSECUTIVE= **edit** i've paid just as much?)
i'll vote NO, because we shouldent be handed over a jedi because of subscription time (ever!)

Great idea (not)!Being that there are already too few jedi running around, why not quadruple their numbers. We can rename the game Jedi Galaxies.

Too few jedi running around? Where have you been? In a hole somewhere? Just run around coronet, or the DWB, or the geno caves, you'll see plenty of jedi. Oh yeah, and check the BH terminals too, they're full of them

Actually veteran players do get a reward indirectly. Most probably have already accumulated all the required badges to go to the village right off and some maxed xp to trade in for a FS box or 2.
Also, it's silly to say some veterans haven't worked hard to attain the force slot, before the hologrind a year ago, we were all running around to POI's (before badges), doing NPC quests, collecting silly trinkets, anything and everything we could think of that we thought might be important. Some of us just recognized the hologrind as a detriment to enjoying gameplay (my first holo said master artisian, no thanks, not dropping my old fashioned pre-buff/speeder hard earned pistol xp)
In conclusion though, we finally found out that mastering professions was the primary (incredibly stupid) method of getting jedi, and some of us chose not to, so even though it was a matter of principle, we knew the rules and I don't think we should get any extra benefits.
If you read the jedi forums, they are always asking for more and more for free, let's not start out that way while we are still mortals.

I think it should count !!!
I mastered allot of profs WAY before they started giving badges for them or even Holos were used.
I saw MOST of the POI and many many more WAY before badges.
Time should count to make it fair!
I've played over one year now.

SHUTUP TURD!!! You complain about holo grinders and now you want a free box!!!! EAT IT!!!!
I think that this was a totally inappropriate outburst. That being said, I kinda agree and kinda don't. I agree cuz I've been on SWG all the time since Sept 2. Now, I'm not saying that we should get something overly special like that, and not something that would give us an advantage over other players. Thats mainly why I disagree. I think we should get something unique, but not something that gives us the lead over other players in the race for... I dunno.... Power, then. Something maybe like a painting or a limited use superfireworks show.
Just a thought
