Thread: The FULL Macro How-To and FULL Command List! (VERY LONG / VERY GOOD)
Want to find a friend (or a customer) in front of a crowded starport?
if they are close you can just type:
/target (name)
/follow
when // is used, you get a good list of commands... but it is incomplete.
Okay, what did I do wrong:
I wanted to do the "/load **.txt" command and I get the reply: "FAILED to load aliases from **.txt"
The name of my txt is "grind01.txt" and I placed it in my StarWarsGalaxies folder. I also tried to put it in my profiles folder and I still get this error.
Sorry, there's always one noob that just can't get it right.
BTW, that is an extensive, exhaustive, and well researched piece of work you did. I bow to the master of Macros.
I skimmed through this post so pardon me if this was mentioned.
To loop a macro you can just type /macro <nameofmacro> instead of /ui action toolbarSlotXX at the end of your macro. This will make it just call itself instead of auto pushing the slot where the macro resides. The benefit is twofold: You can move the macro anywhere you want (depending on what's in the macro) without re-writing it, and it can save on valueable toolbar space.
Howdy -
First great list, I didn't see the following on there though, they mat be new. This is from another post in CH.
You can:
/pet, /reassure, /nuzzle or /hug a pet and it will either perform a "happy" animation, or it will sit, or it will lie down.
Some pets have a "sit trick" or two. Telling a pet to do trick1 or trick2 while it is sitting will make it do the sit-trick instead, if it has one.
You can /bonk, /whap, /scold, /bad or /slap a pet and it will perform an "ashamed" animation.
You can /pointat or /tap a pet to make it perform the 'alert' animation.
Using /summon or /beckon on a pet will either make it look confused, or will make it follow you.
the /tellpet command allows you to talk to your pet so that no one else can hear. (I never get a text prompt on this, but the pet responds.)

WHats the command to restart or repeat a macro? plz help
There is no way to restart a "dumped" macro or alias - at least I've never found one & the way the system works I REALLY doubt there is one.
Repeating a macro was already covered but here it is again:
the last line of your macro should be a /ui action toolbarSlot##
replace the ## with the slot you want your macro to be in 00 thru 23 (the game numbers the first slot 00 & goes from there)
drag your macro to the appropriate slot. when the macro gets to the end of it's commands it will launch itself again.

Does this really work?I know for a fact it will not work with aliases. The game engine seems to have some simple recursion checking. i.e. if your alias is called rootabega & the last command of rootabega is /rootabega you WILL get an Error message. it is possible to call another alias just not the one your in. I also seem to remember that the game will pick up a loop through several aliases(a calls b calls c calls a).
I'm thinking don't try /alias (aliasname) instead of /macro that would re-wright your alias file.
/thank
/bump
Fantastic Post a few more to add:
/mount Speederbike
/dismount Speederbike
If you want to use these with another vehicle then just change the name for name of your vehicle. Make sure you copy it exactly as I think they are case sensitive.
