You can't of done much surveying then or visting harvs have you reptile spit. Cause unless you only have a couple of harvs its takes a LOT longer than an hour or 2. If fact most of my time on here lately has been spent vsiting harvs and clearing the hundreds of reds form around them so i can get the resources and put in power and maint with out being attacked every few seconds. I was'nt going to be a cbt character at all. But i got so much aggro from things while trying to survey that i had no choice but to get some cbt skills and now i've made sniper and most of the xp has come form clearing reds away form my harvs.
other ways of makeing money hmm you mean like camping the underground bunkers and selling holos mmm thats just SOOO much hard work. NOT. and at least skill tapes are usefull to EVERYONE unlike holos which are just for the holo grinders.
Please read the entire sentance BEFORE replying. I said MAYBE an hour or 2 IF that. This means it DOES NOT happend EVERY day and even if i go there every day i do NOT spend that amount of time there. I did'nt make the static spawns every 30 mins so why blame me. I'm just playing the game.I wish they would fix it so that red con npc would drop better loot. I soloed loads of them and got a few hundred credits for my troubles. So if i can get better loot for less effort why should'nt I.

Meh...you must just be slow then. Only takes me an hour or so when I'm zipping around on my speeder. You only have to survey once when resources shift really. And you do know that you can check your harvesters/generators while still on your speeder right? No need to get off. And I'm also a master ranger, so my maskscent / camo usually keeps me protected from any aggros.

No, I mean like running missions, harvesting organic hide/bone/meat (major pain and takes a ton of time and effort not to mention wear and tear on weapons/armor), crafting armor/weapons/tools, running a business and vendor, etc. etc. Really, just selling resources is pretty easy in comparison.

No reason at all...least as long as the cave remains the way it is.
Just like theres nothing wrong with just selling resources. It's just not very hard or challenging work compared to other ways to make money, that's all.

Here is a BETTER way. When you loot/open the debris pile just leave it open. When the pile respawns they appear in the window instantly. Grab them.

How many harvs do you have reptile spit I had about 50 at the last count. and the ones near theed on naboo ALLWAYS have vast numbers of reds around them. Sorry but i don't have the 140 skill points needed to get master ranger, spare at the mo. Not with master medic 4424 cbt medic and artisan 0004. Ah yes runing missions a level 15 mission pays 2k and its not worth the effort it takes for the money and xp. harvesting organics is a scout skill which i don't have and can't get due to haveingvery fewskill pts left. What do you think selling resouces is, if its not a business. I have a vendor and do craft stuff mostly stim and wound packs. Have you tried to find all the stuff you need to get good stims/wound packs. Its not easy by any means. Try ro find good resouces is a lot harder and more expensive,than going to a terminal and geting a mission which will give you a waypoint to excalty where to go. Usualy is a 1000m maybe 2000 at the most.I regualry have to fly around all the planets wasteing hours waiting for shuttles and not finding anything good. Thats after traveling many 000's of meters while surveying and being chased and killed at extreme range by all manor of moob's. The only reason i went to the cave in the 1st placewas to find a cbt medic exp +2 tape so i can use the +8 i all ready have. 2 weeks later I have got eveything but what i want.

Hahaha.. sorry butI don't have the time to sit and wait for a pile of garbage every 30 minutes, I've got professions to grind (14 down only 18 to go!).

You're right Bender. This is not how the game was intended to be played. SOE should fix it.
I personally looted these piles for a few days ago, and have been handily flamed and accused of AFK looting on Ahazi.

Seriously, this is really no different than the Holo-craze, AFK Crystal harvesting, or AFK Dancing/Musician/Entertaining. The problem is that there are things that people need (attachments, holos, crystals, exp) and SOE has made it easy for folks who really want to get those things to get them while AFK/semi-AFK.
1. Loot Harvesting: Did I want to spend my precious time reading a book, and coming back every 30 minutes? No, I'd rather be PvPing or PvEing. Do I want the Loot? Yes.
2. Holo-craze: Did I want to spend 2 hours a day in the same darn factional dungeon killing low-level stormtroopers? No, I'd rather be PvPing or PvEing. Do I want a Holo? Yes.
3. AFK Crystal harvesting: Did I want to leave my computer on overnight killing Meatlumps? No, I'd rather save the electricity. Do I want crystals so I actually level my Jedi? Yes.
4. AFK Dancing/Musician/Entertaining: Did I want to leave my computer on overnight so I could master some profession that I have no interest in? No, I'd rather save the electricity. Did I want to finish the profession so I could have a Jedi? Yes.
