Well said RikTikTav,
It is a shame that thinking like this is the minority.
Not to worry people.....this little exploit will be nerfed to hell in the next patch.....believe that. you will be lucky if you find anything but cdefs in those piles after the patch. I support taking static loot out of the game....a lot of people on my server get rich because they do this little trick/exploit all day long.....until they run out of storage space and then they auction it all off for millions.
At the very least If they don't take the static loot out of the game, they should at least only let +1 skill tapes spawn there.....anything better you should have to fight a red con to get those great tapes and such. That **edit** bat cave is not even a challenge....I can walk through with my tangle pistol and kill'em without a scratch.....this is a newbie cave in my opinion, yet you get the best static skill tapes here.....
also, unlike some people....I actually fight through a cave for xp, loot and most importantly fun. when the cave is empty, I move on to another planet and do something else. I don't sit in a cave or at the lost city on talus afk trying to loot the piles.....honestly where is the fun in that.....my god people you are not even playing the game.....your just looting. What's the point! How often do you really accomplish looting something great when the spawn is 30 minutes. You go afk until the loot spawns, loot then go afk again.......basically your spending 15 a month to watch tv or whatever while your character stands their like a statue......
The sad thing about this is that it's always someone from a guild who does it.....I never see anyone there that's not in one......I"m curious, does your guild not do anything. Don't you have events, pvp raids, defend your base (if you have one), roleplay....etc. There are things to do besides being a cave hermit looting piles of junk.
You know what would really be funny? If SOE takes out all the SEA's and the current one's you have don't work anymore......boy can I hear the bitchin and moaning. "I spent weeks gettings thousands of skill tapes now they don't work" My answer....you should have spent more of those weeks "PLAYING THE GAME".
The sadest thing in this thread is that it was posted originally by the Jedi correspondent...
It shows clearly what kind of players get to be Jedi in SWG...
How pathetic is it to sit in a cave watching your egg-clock to hammer on your mousebutton in time to grab 2 little tapes to sell for millions and millions of credits other ppl duped?
The sad thing is...
The people that are complaining about the original post are probably the ones who camp the loot all day and night and have an inventory full of skill tapes. They are probably selling them for an insane amount of money are pissed that someone let out some good information to help out the players that dont really get alot of good loot. To the original poster, GOOD for you!
"I have earned EVERY credit ..."
How is sitting around for hours doing nothing but looting debris piles with zero risk and selling them for millions 'earning' anything?
Seriously, this can't be fixed soon enough.

Dream on. I never looted a skill tape and i play since beta. I never camped any place. I provide the location of everyone who asked for SEA loot, since I think its better to lock those drooling SEA afk looters away in a cave than to have them running around.
But it's a sad thing that a correspondent, someone who is supposed to make this game better, not only providing the information where to get those things, which would be enough to ruin the camping fun for the other professionals, but gives explicit instructions how to make a business out of it. He also tells us he uses to do this and i only can guess its to finance his powergringing, lightsaber decaying playstyle.
Call me silly, but i would expect a correspondent doing something else than staring at a pile of rubble to grab the precious loot faster every 30 min than his drooling rubblepile-staring companions.

Reptile spit i have earned about 250k to 300k of my now 5 million form skill tapes.
That's not everycredit then, is it?
Therest has come form selling resources. But of course I bet you don't consider that hard work either.
Not really. Selling resources is the second easiest way to make millions of credits quickly.
Seriously....I know a fella who made about 20 million doing nothing but selling bulk resources in a couple weeks flat. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't exactly consider it 'hard'. Anyone with any surveying skills and a decent starting investment to buy the harvesters/generators can do it. Once everything is set up, all it takes is an hour or so a day to check the harvestors/generators and sell stuff on the bazaar or other sources. Nothin too hard....especially compared to other ways folks make money.
Oh and i don't stay there for hours and hours. I spend maybe an hour or 2 a day if that. I have better things to do with my time than sit in a cave for hours on end. But i'm sure holo grinders do that a lot.
Oh, just caught that last sentence too....

An hour or 2 each day = maybe 10-14 hours a week = a lot of time to be sitting around camping a debris pile for most people.
As I've said, I can't wait till they fix it.

I went to the Borgle and Pigmy Torton caves for the first time since the caves were introduced (I went there when they came out to explore). When I got to the bottom of the Borgle cave, there were 4 people at the bottom of it standing around waiting to harvest. I just fought my way through the cave (trying to master brawler) and I thought it was pathetic to see people camping it.
This is my first MMORPG, so unlike EQ'ers, I'm not used to people camping spawns or ninja looting. I'd rather play the game. I've never seen a kryat dragon or been to the crystal caves. I think that making static spawns only encourages this behavior and I hate that they put it in this game.
Also, this was posted by the Jedi correspondent. I think it's very indicative of the people who become Jedi in this game.

I have personally never been to the borgle cave and after this post I doubt I ever will (unless I wanna fight 30 other people that are probably also waiting at the bottom). I just thought it was strange that a correspondent posted this thread which pretty much advocates everyone and there brother to AFK camp this spot.
How about working on the devs to scatter these skill tapes to all the different caves as well? To me that is what a correspondent should do.. to find problem areas in the game and get the word to the devs on what to do to fix it.
