I can't think of anything that justifies any wait at all.

They are doing their damn jobs. If you are expecting perfection, you will never ever find it. Humans are not perfect. Not even one.

You don't have to be a rude SOB to have a pair or give an opinion. I think standing up for the Devs takes more balls because it's much more acceptable and easier to just jump on the hater bandwagon.

What about the millions of things that work right? I guess they don't matter when the thing you want changed or fixed is not working.

Well, you can please all of the people some of the time and you can please some of the people all of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time.

Their job is not as black and white and easy as you all make it sound. They are working hard every single day and if you are not hearing from them it is because they are hard at work.

I'll be the first to say that from a technical standpoint this game is amazing. But it's very little more than an engine with no game behind it.

Like I said, as game designers, the SOE devs are halfwaydecent database admins.

I don't expect perfection - I expect priorities. I expect them to take care of existing bugs before adding new content that inevitably brings more bugs with it and further complicates any effort to resolve them.

If you want to build something that will last, you build it on a stable foundation. That does not exist in this game - TH has admitted (by his answers to the "19 questions") that 80% of the professions in the game are improperly balanced. Instead of making that their top priority, they decided to put all their efforts into producing an expansion. Those who defend the Devs say "this should have been in the game in the first place". Yeah? Well balanced professions and balanced combat should have been too!

You don't have to be a rude SOB to have a pair or give an opinion. I think standing up for the Devs takes more balls because it's much more acceptable and easier to just jump on the hater bandwagon.

The Devs don't need you to stand up for them - your fellow players do. The Devs will do as they wish, and if you tell them that's good, then you only validate the problem. You aren't helping anyone that way.

If you turn your back on those who are done wrong by these choices, that may take balls, but it's not something to be proud of.

Did you ever pause to consider that people who are truly enjoying the game are not going to slam the Devs? People don't just jump on the bandwagon because it's easier - they have legitimate gripes that continue to go unheard after many months. We get lies, stalling tactics, empty promises or outright silence.

No, the ones taking the easy way out are the Devs.

What about the millions of things that work right? I guess they don't matter when the thing you want changed or fixed is not working.

When the thing you want to do isn't working right, no - nothing else matters. It's cold comfort to know that you are having a great time if I can't do what I'm trying to do. I'm not playing your character - but it's reasonable to expect that we should all be able to enjoy the same quality of play experience nonetheless.

Their job is not as black and white and easy as you all make it sound. They are working hard every single day and if you are not hearing from them it is because they are hard at work.

Bullshet. If they are so hard at work, why aren't they getting these things done? Where's the combat revamp we were promised in the fall, or the Smuggler revamp we were promised a YEAR ago? Why does Commando only have one skill tree that's at all useful? Why are the majority of pistoleer specials broken? The list goes on and on.

No, the only things they care to work on are the things that pull new people in - Jedi and starships. It's a really crappy thing when a company values a potential customer more than an existing long-term one.

I suppose you expect me to give them my loyalty when I've seen none in return?

You don't thank people for doing their job, thats what pay checks are for.

You DOthank people for exceptional service, when that happens I thank the Devs.

Fixing problems is expected.

Fixing broken items is expected.

Putting a few very minor things in game to A. try to appease everyone that knows the game is in rough shape

B. make the game easier to all the su-ckas-sbit-ches

is not worth "giving love", it's BS politics.

Also "give some love" is a lame a s sphrase IMHO.

How so? Flying your own ship will probably take longer because you have to get to a starport, launch, navigate and land. Something tells me that's not going to be faster than a shuttle. If anything they should have increased the shuttle wait to make JTL more appealing. I originally thought the same thing about it making JTL more appealing, but since then some things were pointed out to me.

They don't GET love until they GIVE love.

So far, they've spend two publishes on the MINORITY of the people. (IE Jedi).

They've delayed the Combat rebalance for Jedi.

So.... no love from me Devs until we SEE some love.

For the FEW things that are broken there are millions of things that work right. You have it 100% backwards.

Good job Devs! Keep up the good work. There have been hundreds of changes and enhancements since the game went live over a year ago and I know that took many hours of hard work on your part. Keep it up and don't let the nay sayers get you down.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

TuskKiller & ComCypher, Add me to the list of people that think the Devs are doing a good job. If you consider the magnatude of the crying that comes out of some of the players population, and the expectation that the Devs will address all of them, it is amazing they (the Devs) ever get anything done. A 97% satisfaction rate is consideredoutstanding in most products. I wonder what percentage ofSWG players just log on play the game, have some fun then go on with real life. It's a game, and a darn good one. It has flaws, get over it. Ok let the flames begin. I have a Jedi to hunt....

I'd like to take the time to thank the devs for some recent improvements I'm happy about:

NPC specials back

Shuttle Wait Reduction

Fixing mission bug where I wouldn't get paid

Fixing the bug where if I switched to a character on another server, I lost all my notes/etc on my friends list

and there are some others which excape me....

I'd like to thank the Devs for the fact that today I looted the ubermost tape of all time:

Droid Complexity: 16
Rifle Crawl Speed: 5
Structure Complexity: 4

None of these work. They don't even exist as skills anymore. So I practically got buffed, killed one of the toughest monsters in game and I have a bag of crap as a reward.

Thank you for that one too, really makes you happy to play.
