Thread: Star Wars Names: The Name Doctor is IN!
My character is named Thomaas Lightstar - Human Chef and Imperial partisan
I remember seeing a name in some star wars book or rpg that had a character named Tomaas. So, I merely bumped an "H" in there and leaving the double a's. Last name came from the generator. ![]()
Metalacca
Maqul Daaplor
Zabrak - Doctor / Combat Medic / Pistoleer
I kinda whipped this name up haphazardly, using the combination of the "mix-up-my-real-name-to-get-a-star-wars-name" method and suggestions of Zabrak naming structure I found on a website.
Be gentle...
Ok, finishing up the page 17 names. Here they are, in all their named glory!
MegAtomic/MegAtomikk
Well, this just isn't there. It isn't working as a nickname, and isn't a name itself, of course. If I were you, I would just suck it up, be "Meg Atomic" and get rated differently, but equally. ![]()
Locutai
I do have to wonder if you were shooting for "plural Locutuses" from Star Trek fame. At any rate, the history of that name is richer than just the rival franchise. I would suggest you do a little research. At any rate, a little consonant and vowel modification (eg. Losutay, Locatui) would begin the rehabilitation process.
Findulgar
Very, very close to some dominant forms in Tolkien naming, but I won't harp too much on that. I think for a Wookiee, you should think of a roar, and see if you can modify it from there.
Rezak
In my humble opinion, your best name in the list. Rezak is a fairly uncommon last name mostly found in Europe. Also, there is that whole Battletech thing, but I'm sure only I remember many of the names of planets on that huge map!
Nacutash
Another fine name. I notice you really enjoy that one name thing. This would be an excellent last name with a nice short first name like Meg
or Gem, Had, Yis, Uve, Isek.
Sanctus
Ah, a nickname based on some nebulous claims of piety? Or simply a nice sounding Latinesque name? Only the author knows, but this is a nickname that should be well roleplayed or left alone.
FuRyONdy/SquatsAlot/DarkHelmuT
Hmm. I appreciate the fine complements, but I am afraid your name is in red, my friend. Teh cHikEnwRiTiNg and the humorous but not terribly appropriate names are a no go if you are in the hunt for quality, canonesque player names.
Baun Le'Lar
Jawohl! Your name seems French in construction, but in practical use, may very well work. Baun works for me quite well, while Le'Lar would look a little cleaner as Lelar. Baun Lelar works fine.
Nes'Enry Rysett
Looking at your name, you caught some excellent nuances of the Twi'lek name. Rysett will work, even without the apostrophe normally associated with last names in Twi'leki, but would work even better with one. Ry'sett leaps to mind. With the first name, maybe just Nes'enry will work. Hmm, both versions looknice.

YEAH IM THE BAD KID IN THAT BUNCH...
no matter....i doubt they will change it.....not all that bad.....
Lexus Locklear + Stacy Valentine? c'mon.....no matter how revealing some of the clothes they have in the game are, names related to porn stars just give bad vibes....even if your original intent was a cheap japanese Benz imitation + Heather Locklear.
and that guy in page 2 or 3 calling himself DuoMaxwell? obvious Gundam reference and u want your name approved? equally someone who turns a name like Marshall Dave backwards and hopes to get away with it?
Venis actually came out differently for some of us. -enis endings usually result in thinking it'll start with a P, like this Kinko's guy i've met, Denis, who have problems writing his name properly and end up the D looking more like a P. nothing personal. actually my first thought when i actually said the name aloud was Venice, which is a nice sounding name, but the -enis got me.
Rayner sounds like Jim Raynor from Starcraft.
being a hypocrite, my archi's name is equally as bad. Minasan Ogenkidesuka. ^_^ How's everyone doing today? Carbine Squad Leader Ravnos Del-Lupo is equally non-starwarsy but i like it. (loosely Wolf's Hunger, Ravnos being a clan in Vampire)
1 point, there are far too many literary/historical/japanime/mtv/sports/gaming icons out there to not have a 'common language' name mean something, especially the shorter names. even within Star Wars itself (Ishy = borrowed from the race Ishi Tib)
RbT, i just want to say u are doing an incredible job. I saw a few of these names and just couldn't stop the urge to flame some kids a bit. (2nd time yes i know my names are equally bad, but with a name like DuoMaxwell, u might as well call yourself SonGoku or Pikachu). I'm a japanese toy import/exporter so most of the japanese anime names gets to me (especially when i was on an RP server in DAoC and someone actually think they got away with Genma Saotome(think Panda in Ranma 1/2), or another person in AO who thinks Bukkake is unrecognizable...both were banned from game from cursing to GMs about 5-6 minutes after I petitioned.)

4) Ephant Mon
Number 4 was the Narlargon player in Jabba's palace in Episode 6.
Just wanted to highlight how wacky Star Wars names can be.

Hrm...speaking of Ephant Mon, have anyone seen any npc of the race Chevin ingame? (and his name i really hoped for a long time that George Lucas wasn't making fun of the real Elephant Man's tragedy)
I think I bought my first jacket from you Riis way back when the game started. I dont use it but I still got it.
My Name Is "Chopp Jenson" and I am a Rodian Architect/Squad Leader. I have a feeling you aren't going to like this name.
