Ok, folks, I had a nice weekend; apparently you all did as well. Here are10 more names from way back on page 17.

Scotty LaForge

Wow, right off the bat for me. In a word, no. And, um, I don't think that name would be very cool for Star Trek Galaxies as well. Perhaps you should just name yourself "L33T Federation Engineer"?

Velothi

I feel very good about this name for a Mon Calamari. Gets full marks in my book, if it wasn't a name from Morrowind.

Dexo Cosreia

I like it. Dexo implies a skill with tools and your hands...nice in your line of work. Cosreia has a nice unfamiliar yet familiar sound to it.

Liz'Ard

Nice attempts, but I'm not sure your (funny) backstory does enough to justify the name. Especially the divine avenger of Ralph....I watched "What's Happening," but don't remember that episode. Whew.

Rajraj K'cuf

Unfortunately, Jarjar and a backwards swear word are more likely to get a CSR name change than any sort of credit from me. You have the creative touch. I would like to see a serious name attempt.

Tash Kosigan

Paks asked me to Twi'lekify it. Here we go: Tash Kosi'gan, or Tash Kosig'an. Really, the key is the apostrophe placed in a logical location to stop your voice.

Medibacca

I'm sorry, but this is a mix of cultures. You can be "Medic Wookiee" or be "Shralbacca" but mixing the two is a unusual thing. This doesn't even seem to be a working nickname.

Cloudstrider

This would be a good last name, so perhaps this person is going around using just their last name. This is a good one for a businessperson.

Karka

Well, after your essay on how you chose your name, you have shown a level of commitment to naming in Star Wars that equals or exceeds my own. My hat is off to you! I would hope that Karka would prosper and be a beacon of good solid gameplay in the future to come.

Zadig Aldebaran

I am aware of Zadig, but I think it is obscure enough that you would do fine with it. Alderbaran is not so great however. It's an Arabic word for a star in our galaxy, when all of the action we're seeing is in another galaxy far from that one. I think the clash of cultures here does not come out in you favor. Perhaps playing with the word would produce some satisfying results. Also, I don't see why someone couldn't have the last name Coruscant, or Balmorra, or Chandrila. Folks have names like that all the time here, with city names and state or nation names popping up.

Enjoy your Monday, all!

Fun name quiz: Which of these names is not a real Star Wars character?

1) Elan Sleazebaggano

2) Cleg Holdfast

3) Ploovoo Two-for-one

4) Ephant Mon

5) Walker Thik

The correct answer? 5.

Number 1 was the deathstick dealer that is rethinking his life in Episode 2.

Number 2 was a podracer on Tatooine in Episode 1.

Number 3 was a crime boss in the old Han Solo Adventures from my infancy.

Number 4 was the Narlargon player in Jabba's palace in Episode 6.

Number 5 is not in Star Wars canon, but is a Jedi in an old Star Wars RPG campaign I had.

Just wanted to highlight how wacky Star Wars names can be.

Name Jecht Starfire Smuggler/Commando Human Male Yes I did get Jecht from FFX but just because I wanted my guys name to be Jet Starfire because my dad flew f94s in the Korean War codename Starfire. Someone already had jet so I scratched my head and remembered Jecht from FFX. I like the way its spelled and sounds the same. You got to admit though it does sound pretty Star Warsy.
