I'm getting frustrated, I am 'plant-sitting' for my fiance who is out of town and I have a black thumb. Well, at least I warned him. We've been keeping the food/nutrients steady at moist/above normal and it was in great health, but today the growth is 'wilting' and the health is at good. I'm not sure what to do, it's in the second phase, just a regular Aurilian Plant. I don't want to kill someone else's plant. >.<

For you, Angof.
Once you see positive change/growth, leave it be! Do not change it
until the plant's response changes...and then, I would only suggest
returning it to the level where you first noticed the positive growth.

As an update on my large plant which seems to like Low nutrient and water, I tried bringing nutrients slowly up to normal and it wilts. I lower nutrients to low and its back at very slow.

LOL. I tried raising its water to normal and it wilts again. My this is a picky large.

I'm surprised that no one has yet documented the effect of music on the Aurilian plant.
The process is simple, just target the plant while playing a tune. Each plant is probably different, but mine responds best to Folk music. It does okay with other songs, but wilts under the effects of rock or that scary imperial song (Star Wars 3). Use flourishes, because the music gets repetitive pretty fast otherwise and the plant doesn't like that.
It's hard to quantify the beneficial influence of music on the little guy, but I've noticed that when he's happy his leaves start to sway, and when I'm really on a roll and the tune is sweet, his pot will begin rocking gently back and forth in time to the music. My boyfriend says the plant isjust trying to make a break for it and roll away from the sound, but I know better, so *thhhhhpt* to him. The plant is growing and it likes what I'm doing for it.
I am now experimenting with wearing different outfits when I play to see if that makes a difference.
I'd like to say at this point, in case it wasn't extraordinarily obvious, that the above was written solely for its humorous value, to lighten the mood of this discussion. I'd bet my last credit that music has no effect (but people have tried stranger things). Please do not attempt this at home unless you just enjoy passing the time playing silly songs to a strange plant.
My serious contribution to the discussion is justmy observation that the plant's status tends to update a few minutes after I log in, and that that's a really bad time to be caught draining a resource to replace it with another one. I'm not sure that resource stats really make a difference, but I thought it was a harmless thing to try, and certainly more reasonable than the music theory. 
I have noticed that if I log out -- all the way out until my character disappears from the world -- that another plant update is very likely when I log back in. Unless there's a limit to the number of updates per day, you might be able to increase your plant's rate of change by logging in more times per day, though you might need to enter your plant's house during the time you're online. My experiences otherwise are in line with most other people's, that patience and gradual changes work best.

as i posted a few pages back resources DEFINITELY make a difference i have seen a plant go from no growth to very slow just by a change in resource quality.
When i talked to the plant advisor in the village they told me to use high quality resources for my plant. The loc for that person is in this thread..last page i think but the name has changed.

I only said I wasn't sure resource stats make a difference, not that anyone who stated otherwise was incorrect. I only have high quality resources on hand and haven't used anything else, so I'm not in a position to confirm or deny the premise.
It might be a stretch to call the villager you mentioned a "plant advisor". He always says the same thing, even to people who don't have a plant, and my take on it is that it's historical info to round out the story line (there's also the "artifact guy" and the one who talks about space travel). Interesting but perhaps nothing more. You interpreted it to mean "use high quality resources", but he doesn't say exactly that, though you could well be right. I've seen others interpret it to mean that they should use high levels of water and nutrients on their plants, and we know based on the info in this thread that that often is not the right combination to use, and that "quite a bit of water" can kill your plant if yours likes dry conditions.
For those who are interested, I dug out my notes on the conversation, which I'd copied down. The name changes each time I see him, but he's in the same general area, sometimes inside the village wall and sometimes outside. The waypoint given earlier is 5177 -4056 and that's close to put people in the right general area. Just look for a villager who is not the farmer and who has the converstation icon when you mouse over him.
Villager: "We're never going to get our planting done in time with everything else that's going on." Skehe Ikteo (a villager).
Planting? You people are farmers?
Villager: "Yes, but we'll never make the planting in time for this season now." Skehe Ikteo (a villager).
How can you grow anything in this dead brown dirt?
Villager: Skehe Ikteo (a villager), "We manage. It takes plenty of high nutrient fertilizer and quite a bit of water, but it can be done."
Why do you bother farming here?

My plant is still perfect condition, fast growth, i keep it at arid/very low
only 2 fruit in the last week or so
doesnt matter what i feed or water it

hi all
got mine plant now for 6 day's on near death 
everything i try i get always growth lvl on verry slow or wilting
i keep the water lvl on below normal
and the nutrient lvl on above normal now for 3 days and nothing changed on the health lvl
i got some food with a PE of 1000
and some water with DR 973
OQ 993
enny1 now a solution plz tell me
wath i'm doing wrong .....................
note : i got plant now nearly 3 weeks and never i got healt above GOOD

Get it to slow growth and then just maintain that until your health is perfect again.

As i said in an earlier post if its growing AT ANY RATE dont touch it. very slow growth will go up a level every 4 days ish so just leave it to grow like a real life plant.
So if you love it, leave it alone
