Thread: Dark Jedi Masters

My PA's city on Bloodfin is located about 3k or so away from the very SW corner of Dant. If I run all the way to the SW corner, in the plains just before the mountain range begins, I can almost be assured there will be at least 1 FS NPC spawning point. I've only seen "Dark Jedi Master" once or twice..but I always find some sort of FS NPC in the SW corner of Dant.

I would guess I've killed about 80 FS NPCs in that area in the past month or so (I don't actively camp them, I just kill them when I see them while I'm checking my harvesters in the area). In about 80 kills I was lucky enough to get one Holocron--which I promptly sold for big credits as I have no desire to be a Jedi.

Wondered why people stopped hunting these guys so much. Back in June/July soon after released i helped in a group of 4 to kill 5 Dark Masters...and each one dropped force amplification crystals + Holo's...etc

Quite funny to do really, only reeason a bunch of newbies could do it was buggy AI - used to suround them at 60m and they would run in circles un-able to decide who to go for

Thanks, Zeritul...

Good information. I have enough XP right now for 1.1.4.3 andcould probably make itto master ranger in about 2 days. The scouting and trapping xp is very easy to get. The camping would slow me down. However, I think I'm going to take the slow & steady route and wander around Dant just to try out the different traps and search for some Force Sensitives. I too am anxious to see what the next patches bring.

WayneInAustin:

I was actually thinking about giving up Master Ranger for some defense mods in pistoleer, but now I'm not so sure, may keep it a little longer. Ranger is still a little screwed up right now. There are alot of changes coming(thats what they keep saying anyway) that will make ranger alot better and thats why I'm holding on to it for now.

As of right now, I use tracking like its going out of style, PVE and PVP(player tracking is alot nicer than it sounds if you PVP). The terrain negotiation is great, camo kits are like mask scent only stronger and they work against NPCs(although I only bother with them on advanced planets). I don't have any med skills right now so I use the HTFB to speed up my regen(it also heals wounds at the same rate of a med center). But otherwise the camps are not that great right now. At this moment in time trapping in the Ranger tree is a complete waste, this is supposed to get better.

I use ranger skills in PVP more than I thought I did. I have gone into areas and killed a couple of people only to have a small army of their friends come in a few minutes later. When severely outnumbered I look for terrain and burst run to it, I always lose them going up and down mountains. I have stood on the outskirts of Imp. player cities(as an Overt Rebel) and track to see what the layout is. Then I go in and hit them where they are not concentrated. Players show up on player track, stormtroopers show up on people track, and AT-STs show up on animal track. They are almost always grouped together with a few stragglers around town, I just go and hit the stragglers and leave.

There are a few other things that help alot and when they finish revamping the class it will be even better. Well hope this helps you decide if its worth it or not.

Jedi are like ants in an ant farm, you watch them work and play, and if one is being bad, you squish them

I can say first hand yes, because a dark jedi knight stumbled into the Dant MO, and used his saber and his force lightning to molest 20 of us before we tookit down... it was horrible.. yet fun at the same time!

I assume you are referring to the Force sensitive NPC's that are a static spawn outside the Mining Outpost that have no title next to their name. In which case you are just calling them a Dark Jedi Night.

A Night and a Knight are two different things. He is talking about a Dark Jedi Knight not the Force Sensative NPC's that are a static spawn outside the Mining Outpost or he would have said one of the no title force sensative characters that hang out near the old force statues instead of saying a Dark Jedi Knight.

There was a Dark Jedi Master that we killed the other day near the outpost. We looted a crappy sith medallion which would be a great prize item if it weren't given away by common NPC criminals in game.

Yup, Gorath, too. And I assume every other Galaxy likewise. Very high resistances, lots of HAM and now probably killing everyone in sight.

Quick fixes to make the game fun now: NPCs using weapons and special attacks, reduced resistances on all except faction armor and percentbased encumbrance, faction armor craftable with improved resistances with limited use schematics from recruiters, no permadeath for faction pets, doc buffs percentbased, fixed BH mission payouts, more imperial crackdown activities, replace SBDs on the corvette with high ranking NPCs, reintroduce a Jedi TEF, reward overt players with improved payouts and faction gains
