Thread: Dark Jedi Masters
A friend and I were killing some DJM's the other night when she became incap'd.
After healing her from unconsciousness, she could see the light from the saber. I, however, could not. (It was purple.)

This was the first I even heard of this bug......
Have killed 11 DJM's.
No sabers have showed up.
One of them did a really cool move, though. It crashed mine and anyone watching it's systems. Me and a bounty hunter friend Milli (Kettemoor galaxy) both experienced this problem simultaneously.
I was running Piket missions on Dant on Friday and came across three Dark Jedi Masters (2 at one point, 1 at another) and was able to kill them with Mindshot, run, Mindshot... repeat.
They dropped some crappy weapons is all. Do these guys drop Holocrons? If so, anyone heard a ratio? For example, 1 in a 100 drop em, or 1 in 10 ?
PS: I was able to get one of the DJM's stuck behind a harvester and he would not go around it, so I was able to just stand there and pick him off! I tried it with another one after that, but was unsuccessful.
people have gotten drops (for holocrons off jedi) as good as 1 in 20-something and as bad as one in 200 from what i have read.
but generally the jedi masters are supposed to drop some of the best loot in the game i thought. then again, all i've ever gotten was credits, nothing, or a stupid staff.

Obviously, I'm hoping for 1 in 20 !! I am now a Ranger and can track NPCs with direction and distance, so I'm going to run around Dant and look for them. Does anyone know if there is a specific location on Dant with a higher percentage chance of finding Dark Jedi Masters? I think I read somewhere that far south was good.
Most of the ones I run across are far south(usually southwest) but I have found them in the north too. The only loot I ever got from one was a crappy used SR Combat pistol. I am master ranger/master rifleman, and pretty much quit looking for them, the loot drop just isn't worth the time tracking and killing them. Good luck finding some, hope you get better loot than I did(you can't get worse).

I am Master Rifleman going for Master Ranger now. Do you mind if I ask you how do you use your Ranger skills? What do you do with them? I picked Ranger for two reasons: to master another profession and to search (track)NPCs. I am curious how I mightotherwise use the skills...
sheeeet. i'm getting tracking 2 today so i can do the same thing. =p.
as for finding them, i ran in the southeast mountains, all the way along the map to the northwest mountains and i saw/killed 10 force sensitive crypt crawlers. they had miscellaneous credits on them and it took a freaking long time.
i think i woulda had better luck with darktroopers but i dunno. at least nobody bothers you in the mountains. maybe with tracking it will get better, i'll do the south west to north mountains this week sometime. someone said once those mountains were supposed to have **edit**loads of mobs, but i didn't see much of anything. then again all of dantooine on my server was a wasteland so maybe it's something busted with the map. dathomir is packed from corner to corner.
i just about want to go imperial to kill surface marshalls. why rebels can't have darktrooper missions is beyond me.

actully i got a locked container inside a locked container inside a locked container then nothing lmao. as for the ratio i let ya know when i actully get a decent loot. i've killed countless FS from the 50% to 80% res mostly in the NW on dant (not the caves i'm scared to go in there). i wish dant was a wasteland on radiant, there are like 10 player cities in the NW corner, now the only creatures i see are bols and pickets, all the grauls migrated south. FS are fun to kill but i don't search for them anymore. i just want a holo for decoration in my house, i had one but it turned to splinters when they introduced the jedi holo's i need a replacement lmao.
