There are way to many ghost towns and there are towns ready and have been waiting with active players to rank up.
Just do it already!

I agree. My concern is what happens when the purge hits?
Packing up houses suits me fine. Also, please get all those harvs off of inactive players gone! Way too much space is wasted on inactive accounts.

ERISDAUTHI,
this is a great idea, but not very plausable, for the simple reason of its not a matter of jsut going *poof* difrent style house, the items inside the house are in one spot in the total space of the house, if you start moving walls and doors and things around items could very easaly end up inside a wall and not accessable. and the idea to shift the items around in the house if the house was *changed* would require TONS OF CODING and the dev's dont have TONS of time to do TONS of CODING.
thanks
I agree - - great idea.
Nearly impossible and insanely practical to implement...

May not be actually if there is every floorplan of every planethouse type. Eg. Tatooine textured naboo house but same floor plan ![]()

DING DING DING! We have a winner here, TH!
How about just retexturing the outside of the house so it fits its surroundings?
I mean, how cool would a Tatooine house with vines and stuff from Naboo growing all over it be?

Nice info...thanks.I would like this game feature to someday be extended to Mayors. It would be nice if a town mayor could pack houses up and shift them around in town. Let the mayor pack it up and place it in his datapad. The mayor can do two things than 1) Drop it someplace else in town 2) Transfer it to the owners datapad. If the mayor logs out and its still in his datapad, it would be automatically transfered to the owner. Also make it so residence is maintained throught this process.
These are great ideas and came up in the discussion threads for Test Center. We passed that info along to the team
What I'd really like to see in addition is the ability to have levels of admin. Due to lot limitations in this game a lot of sharing goes on so that people who don't need as many lots can share with players who need more. The problem with that comes about when the person who owns some lots that you're sharing with leaves the game, and you can no longer move the structure when needed, and run the risk of the structure being deleted if and when the character account that it's attached to is deleted.
What would be nice is if you could implement two or maybe 3 levels of admin. All levels would have the ability to add maintenance (or power) to a structure. The lowest level might be admin privileges in a specific room. The person with this level is allowed to manipulate (move, drop, or take) items from one or or more rooms in the structure. This might be ideal for cases where people might want to share a house. Granted the tenant would have to trust the owner, but the owner wouldn't need to have to trust the tenant as much. This level would be nice, but might be more difficult to implement.
The next level would be the same as what admin means now. You have item manipulation privileges for all areas inside the structure.
The highest level admin would be pretty much equal to the structure owner. Specifically you have access to renaming, redeeding, transferring ownership, and probably this new packing feature. Granted this means that someone could walk off with your entire house at any time, but you wouldn't grant this level to just anyone. It's not really that much more than the current level of admin - it just gives access to the options concerning the structure itself (which may not be as valuable as the items within it anyway).
The main use for this is for those times when someone is basically giving you their lots. It might be your structure and everything in it is yours, but the lots might belong to someone else. That way someone can drop a house for you on their own lots but grant you the highest level admin on it so that you can do whatever you need to do with it - including transferring the ownership to yourself or someone else at a later time. This would really help in those times where the person who may own some lots you're using is no longer playing and you have to worry about logging in one day to find that it's gone. It would also help in cities if players grant the highest level admin to a guild or city leader so that their structure can be moved (or removed) if left abandoned or if city planning changes and many structures need to be relocated to accomodate a new city design. If nothing else it just allows players to form a sort of collective where they can share lots and have equal access to all the structures within.
In addition you'd have to consider how admins can add other admins. Probably the best way to do it is to allow an admin to give any privileges to another player lower than or equal to their own, but not greater. So if you had low level admin access to 2 rooms for example, you could give someone else low level admin access to one or both of those rooms, but not to, say, mid level admin access (all rooms) or access to any rooms that you don't have access to. Someone at mid level access could grant someone else low level admin or mid level admin access.
That's a feature I'd really like to see.
this would also requre insane ammounts of coding. its not a simple thing. there are /bugs that are easier than this out there that have been ignored because the coding requires to much resources at the moment to do away with them. personaly i would live to every /bug fixed and every profession working 'its intended job" THOSE ARE THE HIGHEST IN THE LIST OF PRORITIES before we start redrawing every floor plan and redesigning everything in the game
