Just to be clear, it said, "...in an upcoming publish."

In that case thanks AGAIN TH for giving us a game guide thats either outdated or currently useless...stellar job

Wow, are you serious? I have to agree that the past FF's have been very bland, but this FF gives us all something to look forward to. I would think by Publish23 we would see this feature. Instead of always looking for negatives try to look at the bright side - we're finally going to get something of use to ALL of us.

would be real nice if they made condemed structures auto pack into the person datapad

im so tired of seeing a field of condemed factories from people had the min lot server swaps and the abandon them or eve npeople who dont play anymore

maybe let the structre be condemed for 30 days then it auto packs into there datapad

would help clean up these planets and be hella less tramatic to people that just plane forgot or are soem reason or another are jsut away from game for a extended period of time that way they dont loose there stuff and also lets the space be used by actual playing people

just my 2 cents

I don't mean to be a "sticklier" but I don't think you answered the question. If he only has 2 Slots Available (5 of his 10 are being used up from the packed house) will he be allowed to replace the LARGE house with just 2 open slots.

  • Yes, I know that the 5 are already accounted for as you do not get slots back for packing your house, but it was a BUG on Test Center and I would hope it would be fixed before going live, so has that bug been fixed?

Will you be able to "unpack" the house if you have no open slots?

Going by a "it'd be stupid if it didn't" argument, I'm going to assume that the check for whether you have sufficient free lots is skipped when placing a structure from your datapad. So in the given example, the player has3 lots being used by placed structures, 5 lots being used by the house in the datapad, and 2 free lots. When he goes to place the structure using the structure control device goes immediately to the structure placement screen, since the lot requirement has already been "paid".

Of course, there's no guarantee against bugs creeping in and the game reporting "not enough free lots", but that's pretty much a given for any software.

There was an issuethat wouldn't allow you to place the house if you didn't have the lots available, since the system seemed to be trying to use the standard structure placement rules. I'm betting that this is why its not ingame right now, since it could have caused some major headaches if it had gone Live with Publish 21.

I can't wait for this feature to be reinstated, because I have a few more houses worth of items that need to be moved from Naboo to Corellia.During the limited time that it was on TC-Prime, I wasonly able to move 6 full medium houses worth of items, without a single hitch.

Awesome Friday Feature, TH. This is the kind of "look ahead" I like to find at the end of a long work week...

I know of at least one person who is planning on moving her house from its current ghost town location to an active town once this hits the live servers. Great feature!

And yes, I think if a player hasn't logged in to SWG (or paid) for a long time (9 months to a year maybe?) then pack up their homes onto their datapad. They can find someplace new to plop their houses when and if they return and the rest of us would have some more room in town.

Is there any possibility of converting "Corellian" houses to "Generic" houses since they're exactly the same except for the name? I'd like to move my Corellian house to Rori.

I'm glad to hear that!

And you bring up another great point to this feature.Player citieshave shifted quite a bit. Eventhe city I used to be a part of up and moved. Rather than move everything, I left my old house as a lakeside retreat (AKA Rebel hideout =P ) and set up a new one in the new location.

This new feature helps players stay together

Great Idea!

hows this for a added twist?

if you have a fully decorated naboo house and would like to relocate to corellia (for the lower taxes and wonderful coffee shops to walk to =P). unfortunately, you cannot since naboo houses cannot be placed there. instead of accepting that your dreams of a new neighborhood is gone to poopoo, you get this option...

allow architects to create a new item called "home redesign tool" which allows you to convert an existing packed house to a new design. this allows us to move anywhere with our items intact as long as we have this tool.

obviously, the tool will dampen the demand for another house since it is a substitute. so the resources to make such a thing would be equal to that of making a house. in addition, the tool is a one-time use only item. so theoretically, a personwill buy onlyone house (which is the case for most people since we rarely see houses poof now).evertime, that person decides to move and has a house designed to specific planet, he will need to buy a tool every single time that person has to move. this means recurring business for an architect if there is alot of turnover from one planet to another. as you know, some form of decay to promote recurring business is one of the major issues of some crafting professions like architect (and tailor as an example).

what do you think TH?

also creating this tool would allow the devs to step up the danger of living in a opposing factioned-aligned planet since crafters would have the choice to either stay or leave.
