I didn't say that there ispattern. There is in fact "no pattern". But - with enough information collaborated from players, we can view similar characters that might have mastered similar professions that other players could attempt to master and unlock. There is a baseline to the randomness. The randomness has to be based of a set of variables.
Complete randomness could result in the following examples:
To unlock, master the following:
Artisan
Brawler
Entertainer
Marksman
Medic
OK - way too easy
Another:
Architect
Armorsmtih
Chef
Droid Engineer
Weaponsmith
As you can see, complete randomness would cause many odd Holo-Profession sets.
RANDOM means NO pattern.
Simple as that - stop wasting your time on the forums and just enjoy the game - focus on the journey, not the destination, and you will have a lot more fun!

I'm glad u agree :-)
I could see myself mastering 5 professions eventually. I'ld hit 4 with my current plan if I keep playing long enough. Just ... not too likely the 5 I picked would be the 5 the randomizer picked.
But I don't think I'll see the 4 before I'm done. Bonus decay does too much to discourage PvP, and the Jedi 'solution' doesn't impress me in the least ![]()
Luke,
I'm pretty sure we've seen exactly those two already as openers. If not, they were only slightly off. Basically, one person with 5 starters, and another with 5 crafting elites.
Of course, on the flipside, they both fit a random pattern
.

There is nothing fun about grinding. If you play the game it was meant to be played you will never, never finish all 5 professions.
this is totally not true especially for a power gamer who masters a profession within a week.
even if he is not doing for holocron, they'll likely only play that profession for a week before deciding they want to do something else....and they may keep that profession and go for another, or something.
It is totally and completely possible to complete all 32 professions in under a year, at least for a power gamer.
the only professions that cause problems seem to be politician and BH...and i think investigation is even easier now....
as for a casual gamer...he will likely never complete his 5 professions, unless he uses holos and/or is really lucky.
I TOLD U! i have been saying this for over a month and no1 has bealived us... also..
i would like the jedi forums to be recreated so actual jedi can comunicate on it instead of wannabe jedi posting aboiut their silent
