Krayt hunting? Looking for Black Suns to loot BH armor? See someone or something you want to pass up now but come back later and look at? Anytime you see a MOB you want to come back later and kill....target it and type /way. It will creat a waypoint exactly where the creature is standing at that time.

As a roleplayer, I find it useful to make any sententence with )), ]] or OOC: in it into a different colour, so I can easily distinguish between IC and OOC chat.

A tip I recently found out was that any player-made in-game macro can be mapped to any key on the keyboard. For my TKN, I made macro copies of all my unarmed attacks and set them up on the numberpad keys. You can also set these keys up with shift+ or crt+shift+.....

#1 This is one i use all the time. Its your note pad, u can find info on the web and coppy and paste it to your note pad. To do this u have to frist make the in-game note pad active in your account, just be in game and typ /note. Then a screen will pop up, just typ anything in it. After thats done u just copy and paste it to your swg file, found in your hard drive, under program files, then find your swg file open it, then find profiles open it to find the station u use for the account u want to put the info, open the station name, and there u will find your note pad from in-game if u look u will open it to see what ever u typed in it in game. So thats where u would paste stuff for in game use....
#2 This one gose with #1. You can copy and paste from your note pad to in-game e-mails for friends....Plus make a macro in your note pad that is one you would loop (like a crafting macro) so you don't have to typ it up like five times. To do this u will have to go to your in game options and find the key map (sorry don't know the tab its under to get to the key map), once to the key map, look for the tab thats got the chats and open it under there u will find the copy and paste, so say for my copy i used the key (ctrl+z) and for past i use (ctrl+x). DON'T FORGET TO SAVE THE CHANGES TO THE KEY MAP, lol o know I did the frist time haha....I have all my macro in my note pad. Can't say how may times that i have logged on to the game to find them not working due to game up-dates.
#3 This is for the people that are going to redo there hard drive, (formating it). If u save your profiles folder to a disk ( the one for swg), and then do your systom and get all the updates done. Just put the disk in and copy the file back in the main swg file....
#4 This one you all will love for u that have the speeder bikes hehe.... Its a macro to mount them and not to have to target the bike, for when when your getting your butt kicked and u need to run hehe.... the macro is simple /mount speeder; thats it.....now there are time it don't work when you frist call the bike or come out of a building, just target the bike and then try it and it will be fine......don't forget to put the macro in your hot keys (f-keys). I have used this for about a year now and seen that u can be running to the bike and get 5 meter to it wile not stopping and use the macro and it pops me on the bike for a fast getaway.....hehe had to come up with this i have a master bio with no combat skills hehe.....u know how mad a rancor get when u put a needdel in his butt? i do!..........
Thanks for your time and hope this helps out....

Good Tip!!! Now I can can go lair hopping and not have to wait for the MOBs to respawn. I simply go to the next WP, kill\harvest, rinse and repeat!

"It's easy to keep track of which resources are new and which ones are soon to disappear ! Simply open your surveying device each day or two and take screen shots of all the resource types you might be interested in. When you need to move your harvesters, compare the current resources with your screen shots and its easy to see which ones are new and likely to be around a while and which ones are soon to disappear."Do you have a useful tip that you want to share with your fellow Star Wars Galaxies players?
E-mail it to [email protected] and if we select the tip we'll post it as the Tuesday Tip and give you the credit! Send us the character name and server you'd like us to include if we post the tip.
For this resource tip I have even a better one (hopefully not already mentioned)..
its called swg craft.. you see when was which resource reported, on which planet it apperead and the stats too..
Thats almost the easiest way for resources hunting.
My tip for crafters with vendors..
Use a part of your door sign to put in the date, when you restocked the last time.. it helps customers to check the same store or wait until it was restocked. You also can mention this way, if you are in vacations or have other duties right now.

just go to chat color in the options, and use the "add a word" option at the bottom
I did the same.. but I had to use a short form of my name, so when someone (i.e. an ingame friend) uses it or it is just a typo, I won't miss it.. But the bad thing about it is, that I see each word like terminal or Stamina also colored

Keo's tip of the week
HOW TO SURVEY WITHOUT SURVEY SKILL
Many people have become frusturated when SWGcraft.com has been slow to update its resources and sometimes wonder if they are missing out on that rare single planet named resource they need so badly. This is due to the fact that only a few people actually survey and post their findings on the site. There are plenty that would like to pitch in but don't have Novice Artisan to sample the resources and find out the stats. This is easily overcome although its more time consuming...sometimes.
#TIP: Any profession has the ability to drop a harvester. Simply pick a spot away from a city and drop the harvester type you wish to find out about. Even if the concentration is only 1% the harvester will eventually collect 1 unit worth in a short period of time. It is VERY rare that you will find a resource showing 0% on the resource select screen. 1 unit is all you need to know what stats that resource has.
Pulling up the harvester will cost your 3000 credits (medium harvester) but might be worth it when your fears are quelled or you struck gold. Finding a high concentration on the other hand is left up to the artisans.

Tip for managing Harvesters:
When you drop a harvester, a waypoint to the harvester is automatically created in your datapad (IF you have room!). Edit the name of the waypoint to show the resource you're harvesting, and the date by which you need to have checked the harvester.
This can be the date you think the hopper will be full based on your BER and the concentration, the date you think you will run out of power/maintenance, or the date you think the resource will shift out, depending on which you think will happen first.
It makes it a lot easier to go to your datapad, show waypoints on all planets, and be able to see there all you harvesters, with the resource type and the "check by" date clearly labelled.
Thanks to Ka'chi for the idea!
