Few Droid use tips..
- You can drag a droid from the datapad on to your toolbar, allowing you to quick call a droid. (New feature added in the last major publish)
- You can store items in a droid to avoid decay and Imperial scans.
- You can put an item in the toolbar, that is located in a droid with storage, whether the droid is active or not. If you need to equip the item, such as a weapon or armor, you can simply click on it in the toolbar twice. The first time calls it into your inventory, The second time will equip it.
- You can instantly call a Droid from a deed, even while in combat. This is a great tip for crafters that do not have combat skills. Just pick up a Combat Droid Deed and call the droid when ever you are ambushed while on a harvester run. Issue the droid a guard or attack command and you have an instant bodyguard. It might be best to pick up crates of combat droids from your local DE, since you can not redeed droids. If you decide to use this tip, be sure to keep room in your datapad, since you will need to make sure that you always have 1 droid slot free at all times, for this to work.
- Anyone can have up to 5 droids in their datapad. Droids do not count against the the number of creatures, faction perks, mounts, or vehciles that you can have in your datapad at the same time.
- Anyone can name a droid, with the exception of any Converse style droids - which are still bugged and un-namable. Unlike Creature pets, you can program the name of your own droid, as well as program all of its features. Just keep in mind that the same naming rules apply to Droid naming as are applied to Character naming. No numbers, special characters besides ' and - and no words that are reserved or offensive.
- A Droid can have between 1 and 6 features installed, depending on the make of the droid. Seek out a local Droid Engineer for further information. Check here for a Droid Engineer in your neighborhood.
- You can trade programs with any faction and any level of knowledge. This makes Astromech and Flight Computer use invaluable in space. Be sure to check out the programs that each profession can supply.

When it comes to disabeling, theres a time for the reactor, and theres a time for the engine.
Duty missions, typically reactor. Why? Some NPC's with a severly damaged engine have this tendency to run away very fast at a range of 3000 meters before they slow down and stop. I hate chasing them down, so ill go for the reactor.
A wings, engine. Engine damage slows them down, making them easier to kill.
Capture and escort? Reactor, just makes things cleaner.
COntrary to popular beleif, killing the reactor, on say, a gunboat does not disable the ships weapons.
On most starfighters, taking out the reactor and engine has the same result -them dead in the space with an autodestruct timer of 5 mins.

Gee if you disable their reactor or weapons why bother getting away?
My tip: If you have a low-end pc (like me) and it takes you 30 min to walk out of a star port or to walk by theed starport, just use this nifty trick. Mostly the sluggish loading is due to memory shortage on yoru vid card. To solve this, dont give it as much to laod!
Simply press Ctrl+M and zoom to first person. Then, look stright down. The only thing your vid card loads is the ground! You can actually make use of a speeder in cities now!
Sure you dont get to see all the pretty skyscrapers, but then I remeber that they are nothing but a giant 4-sided mesh.

CONTROL-ALT-ENTER switches between windowed mode and non-windowed mode.
just ALT-ENTER.. touching CTRL won't work..
on that note, CTRL-ENTER will open and close your main chat window..

Maybe that's what all of the miscommunication is coming from? Perhaps the CUwould have come earlier?
I'm not flaming, just making an observation......

This is a great command for older or slower machines. I have this as a macro called flush and have that bound to ctrl + F and it makes a big difference when landing in coronet

Here is a fun macro that can make life a little easier.
If you drag your speeder bike from your data pad to a toolbar slot, you can use this macro to call it and mount (with a little jump to make it look a bit more realistic).
Bind this macroto a key and it makes calling your bike and getting on it very quick (lag and other speeders being around permitting).
/ui action toolbarPane04;
/ui action toolbarSlot08;
/ui action toolbarPane00;
/pause 1;
/tar speeder;
/jump;
/pause 1;
/mount
Here, I have my speederbike swoop in toolbar 3, slot 7. You can do the same for other vehicles by just changing the "/tar speeder" line to AV-21 for example.
And a handy tip, you can buy the new speed and accuracy stims cheaply from the bazaar (on most galaxies), go to a bazaar terminal, select Entire Galaxy then drop down Misc and Item and you can buy cheap speed and accuracy enhancements for your profession.
Also, while you are here, have a browse through Misc > Clothing Attachments and order by auction time, (longest time remaining, and therefore newest itemsat the top) you can sometimes pick up some bargain CAs and AAs if you look at the right time.

Probably worth pointing out that a ship that has been disabled only stays around for so long - after a few minutes of being disabled, it will just blow up and you won't get any XP or loot.
Very true, but if you happen to be close by when it goes, you get the XP and, I think, the loot, too.

I wish that I could continue thinking that everything has a purpose, to someone, but this?
This is displayed in the little text and picture area above the loading bar when you are going from planet to planet, or planet to space, or space to space.
Why can't they give us something that we have never known about? Perhaps they could show us how to roleplay better? I liked the post about changing entertainer colors and special effects, but this is hardly a tip...

Only 1 small problem with your macro...
It will call the speeder... but only if you put it in slot 9(F9) I am not SURE, but the toolbar may be #5 too.... Not sure how the panes are numbered....
(Option Base 0 and all.....)
