Your 2nd character can also become your Jedi as well, he'll just have to start the way all new players will now. This is what I meant whenI said blank character. He will be the same as a new character, but will still get the chance to go through the village under the new system.

Well. People at gfaqs were talking about groups. Is it true that you will have to wait 6 months if your in group 4? My great friend Arangar may be quitting this game if that is true! He does not want to wait 6-8 months just to unlock. And no he didn't hologrind but neither did I! I mean how hard is it tos et up a macro, get all the ingreadients, and then go afk, afk dance woohoo big woop. Its not exactly fair now is it making everybody wait?
But on topic what are these groups and how long until one can get into the village? They should have made it more Star-Wars like, where the holo-cron gives you quests to do, sort of like the village but you could see the holo-cron actually open up and show the image of the light or dark jedi who would be your instructor (Exar K'un for the Sith, Yoda for the light) and he would give you and tell you what to do in order to become one with the force, ( I DO NOT MEAN GRIND PROFESSIONS) But please how long until you can get into the village?

This is old news by now but I just got visited by the old man. Never touched a holocron. Only 3 profession masteries. I doubt very much my three were holoprofs.
I was glowing when patch 10 hit due to badges however.

I have a question about "holo-grinding", and the credit granted for mastering professions.
1. case :
To get the credit for mastering "holo"-profession do you then actually have to have used a holocron to identify the profession and then go master it?!?!
2. case :
You dont have to have actually used a holo-cron, and then master the profession it states. You just have to, by luck, master one or two of your profession that an actual holocron would inform you to master, to get the credits?!?
I "played" this game, i didn't holo-grind, but i have 10 profession mastered and there should be a big chance, that at least one of my professions mastered was one of the profession a holocron would have told me to master.
Btw, i wasn't "glowy" when i first logged in, had to do the Nym's Themepark first, and then i became "glowy", no visit from the old dude yet though.
Does this make any sense at all, it early in the morning and i am tired as hell.

Icevermin: Well, the way it looks right now, groups do not matter... I've heard several peopletell that they have gotten visits from the old man after getting glowy from badge work after publish 10 came out...So, it looks like If you are glowy, you will be getting a visit from the old man sooner or later... So, I guess they changed it after the outcry... If not, then by getting glowy, you will at least be qualified already for when the time does come...

Quick question, I was on tattooine, glowing since I logged in publish 10, Old man came to me while I was afk (call of nature), when i came back, I was excited and started chatting with him. In the middle of it, I got the message "the mysterious old man rushes away" and he took off! Does he come back?? lol, I didn't even get anything from him, he just left after "Do you have a moment? "

SwiftShish: Do not fret, the old man will visit you once again! Just try shuttling, and then going outside of town and waiting. I know for a fact that he will visit you again.
Cendatinea: It appears to be random for everyone. I know of people who have gotten visited the first day, and some people with the same requirements met still haven't gotten visited. I was not visited until the 2nd day, so I missed out the first day. You should be contacted soon, though. Thunderheart said it would take 1-3 days to do it.
Pootian: The /checkforcestatus is a little screwy right now, so all the other stats other than glowing basically just say, "You aren't to glowy yet". They in no way reflect how close you are to glowing, so yes, it is a bug.

Well, gramps caught up with me at last.
I had insomnia last night and was goofin off and bought some steel. Had to go get it on Dant in a place I had never heard of, Mos Rensomethin or other.
I get to the MO and activate the WP from the bazaar email and its the Imp Outpost. I bout pissed, I get scanned everytime I go there and overted. So I grit my teeth, figure it will be an in/out operation, get in, get my steel, get out.
I get off the shuttle and the old man comes runnin at me. All I could think was, "dude, you have the worst god-awful timing." So I emoted "gives %TT a watch and a compass" and then screenshotted it after I told him it was about time he showed up.

I am in an interesting spot. I don't know exactly where I fall in all this.
I have done 11 professions and have ha da silent holo for almost 3 months now but never wanted to mindlessly grind randomw professions so I didn't.
I have all the location badges, 2 warrens, 2 corvettes, ALL the themeparks, an accolade, all 3 racetracks, an event badge, and all the miscellanwoud badges that go with these like exploration badges and the ones for total number of badges. Grand total = 80.
When I logged on after Publish 10, I did /check and got "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you." right off the bat.
So...where's the old man?
I have been on nearly all day both days now, avoided NPC cities like the plague, tried the shuttling around idea, tried sitting out in the wild for an hour both days, tried logging off and waiting and logging back on...still no old man.

I have two accounts....My main is "you barely notice something different about yourself". I have 60+ badges. around 10 professions (1 for a holo), reb themepark, 3 jedi, all the hard POI's, and lots of the easy ones. Why do i have such a low /check level??? (oh also corvette, both warren badges too)
My other account in contrast has 10 badges. 3 profession ones, and the rest some hard and easy POI. no theme parks. he has " you feel a slight connection to the force"
I really hope this is a bug...
